OK I really do like my new bike soooo much!!!! It is totally different than my 'little' bike. The turning radius for one, that is taking some getting used to. My 'little' bike could make a U-turn in about 1/2 the space this one will. But hey I'd gladly give up turning radius for SPEED. I have been practicing doing the speed limit on the local roads and man has that been a challenge. I also am getting used to the bikes braking power at different speeds. Next it's into a parking lot to practice. |

If you look at the second picture Glitch posted, you'll see that the XB bikes have a nice / tight turning radius. |

StealthXB: Since our regularly scheduled meeting falls on a holiday do we want to alter our plans? We changed meeting day a couple of months ago so those who live further away would only have to come to town once that week. Remember we changed it to the first Thursday each month. We missed you. |

Oy, my head hurts Think I'm done with the poster. Two sizes, 8.5X11 and 3X5. The size is easy to change as long as it stays taller than wider. Torqer, any word on the bike? What time do you get off leave work? |

I I have to say is Thomas Davis is the fcukin' man. I sure you saw this stat, but he was in on 96% of ALL defensive plays last year! That is insaine! Can't wait to see him and Pollack murder people. GO TORQER, I am sure you are stoked as all get out to have your bike back! Anyway, yes I was on one wheel but not a "wheelie" mind you. Ok maybe a little, I was pulling out of work and grabbed second a little hard, front tire poped up and instead of backing out I held it till it stopped. 5 to 10 feet of distance, no more than 10 feet and possibly 10 inches off the ground. So as the tire hits I keep going and stop at the stoplight, I had seen the cop and new he was coming so I waited. This guy gets out of the car holding his sidearm screaming "Turn off the bike" You would think I just ran somebody over with his tone. Anyway after numerous threats of "I should be taking you to jail!" He gave a reckless driving ticket. He even wrote on the ticket, rode a "wheelie" on sattellite blvd after pulling on to roadway. This one will be a fight for sure, getting them to believe I was not riding a wheelie will be tough. Anyway gotta run I have some chores to do. |

New12r the pig was holding his sidearm hoping you would try to run at that point he would have put at least two in your back. A real cop would have handled it better. But you do know your in GA. right. Your best bet is to take a few fast turns if you can. You play and some times you PAY. If anyone is going to the Ridge Run I'm going and would like to go in on a room. No need to pay for a hole room and two beds me just being one guy. Let me know K. call me 404-304-9158 or just post it back to me. Thanks GatorDick |

Hey Charlie- here is the motorcycle Attorney that is coming to out event. Give him a call, tell him you are part to the SMHD thing and see what he can do for ya. Chuck- 770.650.0016 Off to the races- what a fun day if only I had remembered to put sunscreen on my forehaed too. Sheesh. But oh well at least it isn't a hurricane. FYI- I got AMA to agree to come out to our event and put up an information/membership table, a Local Sportbike rag and a charity is going to send some info for our 'information booth' as well. The event is getting bigger. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!! Ride safe!! |

Will anyone be going to TWO/Hwy 60 this afternoon? My neighbor works for Porshe and she has a 2005 Carrera S that is a demo that need to be broken in. She wants to follow me up to 60 and try and keep up today. Yes she's female and yes she can drive extremely well. Would any be interested in that? It is not 100% that we are going but most likely. I will post when I know for sure. Go Dawgs! |

Oh...did an Urban Assault yesterday evening through Roswell and down around Buckhead. I saw a black X1 parked at HiFi Buys in Buckhead. Does anyone know who that is? I thought maybe they worked and was a 3%er, but I wasen't going to go in and bother them. Is anybody out there? (sung with Pink Floyd lyrics) Is anybody out there? Surely somebody wants to ride and blow the doors off a 911 Carrera. Torqer..you girl needs some love! Got an early start this morning. Rode north 'til I got lost. Sure was nice to get away. Some times just ridin' by yourself is the best therapy known to mankind.

You're right Glitch!! New12R: I have a buddy who works at Porsche N. America... I bet they know one another. Who is she? My buddy just read the post and said the Porsches come broken in all the way. The engines run on a stand to be broken in prior to installation. If she can drive, that car could blow our doors. |

Torqer....It was me B_S who went with the Porsche. I just got back from Hwy 60. It was great she was on my tail the whole time. The afternoon kinda suxs because of the traffic. At one point I was doing 15-20 mph behind a bunch of trikes! I couldn't just pass because she didn't know the road. On another note. I have noticed worse vibration with the lower bars. Makes my hands go numb after about 30 mins a continous riding. Would filling the bars full of silicon reduce the vibration? Thouhgts? Glitch...what happened to you yesterday? |

B_S: yes. It would help. But, remember... you've got more of your weight on the bars... you will feel more of what's under you. |

Well....I filled them up with some DAP aqarium sealant. Same stuff I use at work. It took two tubes and will take overnight to cure. I will see how well it worked tomorrow. I can definately feel more of the contours of the road, that is for sure, but the handeling upgrade is amazing! I was actually getting some decent wheelies with the old bars but I now sux with new ones. Guess I have more weight up front. Torqer...I mean Yoda, help me see the force. |

Blk sunshine, the silicon doesn't work worth a toss. Try a "Bar Snake", basically lead weights in a plastic tube that slides into your handle bars. Or you can use lead egg sinkers (found at any tackle shop) in some shrink tubing if your cheap like me. Both work about the same and knock the vibes down about 50%. Did it to both my chopped sporty and my current M2. |

There is some good personal insight. Wheelies it is you are wanting... The Jedis of the 500cc moto-gp say... an inch in the saddle is worth many pounds on the front end. Push your bottom to the back for more lift young rider. Use caution... for the darkside should always be down and shiney side up. Feel the force (torque)... it is within the bike. Just dont do wheelies in front of cops! They frown upon that type of activity, even when you are not doing a "wheelie". |

Hope everyone is having a good Labor Day weekend. The races were a lot of fun, Hot but fun. If anyone knows how to download video I have some great footage of a Buell Lynching/ Good ol' Southern Shade tree mechanics at the races. Torquer was trying to take his rear tire off without a bike stand and the brilliant option everyone came up with was to hang it from a tree. Well they got it in the tree and it was quite a sight, but it was then determined that there wasn't enough time for him to accomplish his mission so the operation was aborted. I do have to say it was quite the sight. Well here comes the rain.... |
