quote:Harley-Davidson Buell RR-1000 In storage since new, never ridden or raced, was purchased by our shop for endurance racing as a complete chassis without engine. This is how it is being offered for sale, complete without engine. This is number 2 of only 49 manufactured by Buell Motor Company for use with Harley XR-1000 engines. Can't fit anything but an XR with our a fair bit of work. An XL1200 will fit pretty well but you have to ahck on the fairing. Doubt that the vrod would go without distroying a piece of history. |

So what is the story on this one!!!! I awould also like to hear this story, for years i have heard how Buell had to LOOK for engines to finish the 50 that were required for racing, bought a few from dealers to finish off the line, so if this one was delivered without a motor, hust seems odd, would really like to hear how this happened, interesting R |

Very cool bike but not worth $9,500 w/o a motor. The motor alone will run around $4-5,000 for a good one. |

And the asking prices for complete RR's is up between $15000-$22000, so $9500 + $5000 = $14,500 which puts it below the current asking price for RR's on the market. Food for thought. If anyone is hungry that is. |
