My, you're a needy little one, aren't you? The youth today Mitch, If I'm running Windoze I use Photoshop 8, If I'm running Mandrake, I use Gimp. But if you're just starting out, the easiest to learn is Paint Shop Pro. That's what I started out with, and probably would still be using it for this sort of thing. I just use Photoshop and Gimp because there are so many more tools and plugins. You can get a free trial of Paint Shop Pro, just do a google for Jasc software.

Glitch I see in your profile that you have the XB12 Air box. I'm thinking about getting that for my 9s. How is that working for you? Do you even need to buy the pieces that cover the electronic Exhaust parts seeing I don't have them? Thanks in advance. |

Mitch, The 12 air box cover is the best performance upgrade you can do for the price. It's one you'll notice after your bike learns it's there. Easiest to install as well. Just buy the box top, it's all you need. Thirty something bucks I think. I've modded mine a little bit. I got some insulation used in floor pans of cars to keep the heat from the transmission at bay, and cut it the same shape as the box bottom. Helps keep the air from heating up by the engine. I don't know for sure, but I like to think so. I also cut the top some to let it get more air in, making sure it still gets a good seal at the filter, and keeps the nipple in place as well. |

Thanks KC. I'm hoping to paint my bike this winter to have it look like that. I ask Glitch to make my ideas into pictures so I can see how they look. And Glitch thanks for the info on the XB12 air box. Went to work and ordered one 15 minutes ago. Can't wait til it gets here. Did you remove the snorkle tube? |

Mitch, no problem, glad I could help. When I ordered my bike, I ordered it with the Buell race kit, so I never saw a snorkel, until we pulled Shred's out. Stealth and I got our mirrors at a bicycle shop. Well, one of mine I got there, the first ones I got from Keith here on the BadWeB, and promptly broke one. If you have trouble finding them in your area, check here. KC, it was all Mitch's idea, gonna look better than any picture when he's finished I'd bet. |
