and I can prove it! Okay, I can't prove it but perhaps other S3 owners can? |

I don't know if it's the best bike ever built, but it's definitely the most beautiful. |

Sorry, but you must have mistaken the S3 for the S2. Everyone knows that the S2 is the most beautiful (and best). |

My buddy's, (Dullorb's), S3-T is what convinced me that I needed a Buell. |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The S2 is nice, but it doesn't get me going like an S3 does. |

I must admit that the S3 is more comfortable for long hauls, not to mention that it can leave me in the dust from stop lights. |

I whole-heartedly agree! If it weren't for the S3, I probably wouldn't be Buellin'. At 6'4", I wouldn't mind a firebolt, but the are just a little small for me in the long haul... |

"The best bike ever"....I don't know if I'd concur. Each Buell has it's purpose. It's funny that I thought my S1W (recently completed restoration) would not be my "daily" ride over my 1998 S3T. So far this year I've put almost double the miles on my S1W compared to my S3T. For daily jonts around town or out to the twisties, I ride the S1. If I'm taking the wife or luggage, then I ride the S3. I guess it's a matter of function for me. I think both the S1W and S3T are equally great!!! |

this from a dude who rides an cookin', butt numbing, nut bustin', Carpal Tunnel inducin' Yamahahaha. But at least he's stylin'.
OK, maybe Buell could pick up on some styling queues from Yamaha when it come to the fairing (mainly the head-light), which was sort of addressed with the XB__R.

I like the S3, someday (after my X-1 is paid off) i wouldn't mind picking one up. For a couple reasons, Luggage cap. and the wife will feel much more secure on the back, she complains so much even w/ the corbin saddle... |

I bought my S3 in october of 99, then figured out that I NEEDED an S1W 6 months later. The S1W is up to 36,000 miles, the S3, even with it's head start, only 23,000. And the S3 gets the benefit of the BIG trips, like to Breckenridge, All Cali ride, FourPlay/Splash, Laguna Seca, etc, wher ethe S1W is only used for local day rides The S1W is the one that calls to me when I enter the garage. I've even considered getting rid of the S3, but it is such a fine work mule that I just can't do it. Al |

I also agree. Here's one I bought about a month ago from a Buell engineer Came with the large hard bags, tank bra, tank bag. stock exhaust, intake, ignition. TONS more extras. In absolutely top condition. It looks showroom new. 10,000 miles for $4250 Gotta love ebay

Nope the S2 is definitely better than the S3. nut bustin', Carpal Tunnel inducin' Wrong, no nut bustin or carpal tunnel issues at all. Even the heat has become a non issue. Just the hard @ssed seat, but still manage almost 400 mile days on it...soon to be a lot more once I get my seat fix. |

ok the miles tell the truth. (btw, I love all three of my Buells and they all have a different ride/style) 99 S3 41500 miles 03 XB9R 12000 miles current 98 S1 has 17000 miles but total miles on the 3 S1's that I owned is 39000 so far. The S3 wins no,no,no the S1 is the coolest looking Buell, no.... maybe the XB9R.... wait the S3 has the best lines.......... I like them all. maybe I'll get a S2 next? or maybe a new XB Lightning...... |

I just don't understand WHY they wont do an XB12T. Now granted they'd need a longer frame, which would in turn increase the "tank" size. |

Buells are cool looking.... -My Red S-2 with the white frame and wheels...you can sit and look at it all day..beautiful. -My black M-2, which is the M-3 (S-3 tank, bars, fairing, etc) is cool....love to look down and over that tank..the manta ray tank is a true work of art. so is the fairing.. -The RSS tail section..another piece of artwork. |

The S3 is certainly WAY easier than a Sportster to push alongside some misbegotten lonly-@ss road in the middle of BFE, that's for sure. |

Ouch! A bricks worth of truth... If HD could do a retro FXR, perhaps Buell could do some retro S1's with XB engine technology! Still wouldn't get me to open my wallet... |
