Black. Best because it looks great, and worst because it gets dirty very easily. |

White, and the Erik Buell silver paint signature makes it better yet. |

I like'em all with the exception of the new blue xb12s. Maybe I will when I see it in person. We'll see. But I had to go with those orange wheels on black! -- |

White 2003 = Best Yellow 2005 = Worst Yellow works on the 9S but not on the 9R for some reason. |

The yellow on the new ones seems too bright, maybe it's just the photos... The black racing stripes help, gives it that angry bumble bee look! |

Rokoneer....Very Nice colors. Maybe because I'm a huge Georgia BullDawg fan. The black wheels really sets it off. What color are the headers? BLack? would like to see a pic of that. I'm thinking of doing that to my black XB9s. (Message edited by black_sunshine on August 21, 2004) |

Ooooh, I like the dark red one above. It reminds me of the old Bandit 1200's, only better looking! After seeing that I might actually consider a color change down the road. It's great how easy the body work is to remove from these bikes to allow easy color changes! For those of you who have painted, how is it holding up? If there are nicks in the clear coat on the existing plastic would normal sanding prep work do it? I assume you're just using spray paint and maybe a clear coat on top??? |

Black_Sun, the headers are still au natural for now, but I believe that one of this coming winters upgrades will be to get them coated to black........

white is my favorite (I have a white 2003 9R, but that has nothing to do with it...) and from seeing more and more pics of them, black wheels are rapidly becoming my favorite too...mine are definitely getting powdercoated this winter!! |

I like the Black and amber colors of my 12R. Although some of these custom colors look good... Darthane, I like the looks of your Black one, and some of the gold(yellow) ones look good also. Now the stock blue and white don't look as good to me... JMO Kevin |

Darthane, where did you get those frame protectors? I've recently reshaped the left side of my frame. They might help hide my artwork. |

Static, I got them from Daves at Appleton. Something like $225, I want to say? Not bad. They have no Kevlar in them like the Trojan ones, but the Trojan ones are also like twice as much. I recently got the Buell frame pucks that I'm going to mount to the CF like Dana did. ...you can have any color you want as long as it's black!
