Well glitch,I'm very surprised by your sqid-like actions on hwy 78.Although I was pulled into you web of high speed thrills of the night!!!How fast were you going when I got into the left lane and passed you??????I'D say about 115-120mph.I looked down I know I hit 130mph after that I hit it a little harder and the rev-limiter popped but I didn't see what top speed was!!!!I was watching the road, had my prescription sunglasses on.COOL!!!Did anyone see that (little 2nd gear wheelie)I hope so!!!!It just felt right.I'll ask chris from parts if he caught a glimps of it???? Well my bike is at the dealer, hoping to get it back asap, should not take long to fix her up though. I got to see Torqers bike in the dismantled mess that it is. I love seeing things all torn apart, gives new appreciation for what really has to go on to deliver all of the joys of riding. I wish I could see it later today with the engine split so I can see the really messy parts. Talk to everyone later got to go to work. |

Man...you guys are fcukin' crazy from doing that kinda speed on Hwy78. Not skeerd of the 100 days of heat I see. Installed the CF Bling Bling. Looked great untill I rode to the gym. The heat melted the epoxy that I bonded the mounting brackets with, so two of them came loose. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Torqer...After further review a sat down had a beer and got up the balls to snip the plastic tab shorter. I cut off EXACTLY 1.675435287657mm of length! Bingo!! worked fine. Thank GOD. I really didn't want to remove bars for another set. Made me very nervous though. Oh, buy the way. The difference in the ride with bars is totally changed. Felt like a different bike. I Love it but am going to have to get used to it and learn that position. Much more responsive to the slightest input. Glitch...don't you get off at noon? I believe you ride right past my office on your way home. (85 N @ N. Druid) You are more than welcome to stop by and check out the Lab. I will email directions if you are interested. I will email directions if you are interested. glitch1@charter.net I know this is usually a joke, but, JB Weld is heat resistant to 500 degrees. It's only about $5.00 too. |

God morning everyone. Sorry I didn't make it last night. I enjoyed an evening of fine dining (on burritos ) with the family. Then, we watched Kill Bill 2. It's a cool kung fu / comic book movie with a good story line. New12R: I'll post pictures as the engine gets broken down, so you can see the guts. Glitch: I'll ask about south side Steve. However, I know he has a relationship with another H-D dealer. It would be like H-D of Atl asking Rhubarb Jones to help them. It just wouldn't be ethical of him. On the other hand, we have a relationship with someone else who may be able to help us from another station who better has his finger on the pulse of sport enthusiasts in the city and sprawl. Shred: Watch that need for speed. Someone once told me: "The faster you go on the streets, the more you ought to be on the track. The faster you are on the track, the less you'll want to be so on the street." Ride you own ride. But, never lose sight of safety. (yes I've gone that fast on 78. and no I'm not your daddy.) B_S: Sorry I had to cut you short on the phone last night. I'm glad you got it worked out . I would have been nervous too. JB weld is a beautiful thing. SilverBullet: How is the front end conversion coming. The paint looked good. I cant wait to see the finished product. You're going to have the most street fightinest street fighter of all of us. |

Torquer- Nice pics. I talked to the Bud light girl last night about coming out to our little shin dig and she said she'd love to get with us and see if she can work it out. You interested? Bubba does beer for donations, well she does beer 'samples'. They have a hummer they would bring out and park at the event. Thoughts??? I haven't had any luck finding music any ideas on that one anyone??? |

I read some thread about a bore kit that would push it up around 1300cc. All that stuff is over my head and out of my relm of knowledge. |

B_S, Still haven't got your e-mail, go figure. After I last posed I got a call from upstairs, one of the execs had an "emergency" just got home a few minutes ago. Execs are bones heads, but, I digress. Got your message, tomorrow sounds cool, I give you a call in a little bit. Torqer, I'm sure you're talking about things that aren't cost prohibitive and won't void the warranty that you hopefuly won't need again. A warranty is a beautiful thing isn't it? What I would do is get the header ceramic coated. www.millerpowdercoating.com These guys are local. If I'm not mistaken Minitruckin' knows them. Also if the shop has any frame paint in stock I'd paint the sub frame the same color as the frame. If your were going to cut your tea strainer, now's the time. Minitruckin' has access to scrap aluminium to make a tag bracket, that's what he used. Can't think of anything else off hand. |

but what's the problem Pete? You can see in the above photo where the bearing on the tranny fork has been getting hung up between 2nd and 3rd when sliding around the drum. It finally stayed hung up and splitting the cases is what it takes to get in there now that there is no tranny access door. |

I've been all the way to the edge of my bulb and only noticed a little bit of flicker. Picked up a light stabilizer even though I don't really need it for the street. With the light dampner in place I've notice the contact patch has changed, so I've decided to go with synthetic at the next change. Found an entire case of 12oz synthetic ohms for $100 sterling, is this a good price?that's funny!! |

Bike up and running, beat all but a few sprinkles on the way home and the bike runs good, different with the timing changed and all but good nonetheless. SMHD/B did a great job getting me back up and running. Torqer, tell everyone I said thanks again. |
