To all-- I sold my S1 to a rather nice guy in Blue Springs Wednesday afternoon, his name is BJ, short for Barton (get your head out of the gutter Dennis), anyway he has been riding for about one day and decided to go out with some guys at work who are more experienced riders than he. They took a rather fast ride down I think it was Blue Parkway, one turn after another, next thing he knows----off the corner he goes!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky for him he is O.K., just his pride hurt, but in the process he managed to pull the clutch cable around against the motor, he straightened it by hand the best he could and went home. Got home and found oil leaking from the cable @ where it goes into the motor?? Blinkers no longer work and probably a scratch or two I am sure! I knew I shouldn't of parted with her (sniff, sniff). Anyone wondering what my future plans are?? Didn't think so. See ya all at the monthly on the 19th!! Ride On!! Paul F |

Keef, That really does stink. Ouch! Here in IL we don't have to pay property taxes on vehicles, just sales tax at the time of purchase. What do they tax you for your first born in MO? |

Hey guys, take a quick peak in on the Quick board -- What do you think of a Badweb rally. I suggest the Eureka Springs area. Thought maybe a few of you would be interested in this thread. Take a look in when you get a chance. Keith |

If we can have it in Arkansas, the KC Central Brag Club would surely play host! |

Work on the "Willie G's Stepchildren" Buell patches and T shirts got started this morning, my embroidery lady is working on the art work and layout today and will have something for me to approve this week. We will be having X Large and 3X T-shirts, patches in 3" and 10", and possibly window decals, ball caps, bandana/dorags and maybe even denim jackets available if all goes well. |

I was intending to go to McBrides and just as I got off work at 5:00pm, the big rainstorm hit. Got stuck in traffic snarl as a result and did not make it home until after 6:30. By the time I could have made it to OVPK the meeting would have been winding up I am sure. I got the Buell Patch design work back for approval from the embroidery lady this morning and told her to get started on them. I asked her if I could have them by the time Bikers For Babies Sept 12 or Ralph Wayne's backyard show comes along and she was skeptical about having them done by then but said she would try. I figured either of those events would be my best chance to catch several Buell riders in one place at the same time to distribute patches. I did find a silkscreen Tshirt printer who can have the first run of Tshirts done in time if I can get the money to him for the printing, so I am working on it. I will use Haines Beefy T's and have sizes XL or 3X skipping the 2X sizes, if you are a big guy or want a loose fitting shirt, you get a 3X, I will have some 2X later on. My wife likes the 3X for a nightshirt, so I figured some of your women might like them too. We licked the Buell Pegasus logo copyright infringement problem by designing a similar but different enough pegasus from some clip art we found to alter. |

T shirts should be available at Bikers For Babies as the screen printer got started on them today. They will be 2x and 3x sizes now, about a 10" logo on the back, some coming later with a breast pocket logo too. Embroidery patches may not be ready by the time Bikers For Babies happens, I am pushing the supplier to get them done. |

Sam, just had to let you know what you were missing. "During the weekend, those six couples will be responsible for directing the serving of 3,800 pounds of roast beef and barbecue, 400 pounds of catfish, 400 pounds of carp and "an ungodly amount of chicken," chairman Ray Genenbacher said." "Also, each night the K of C will serve 50 to 70 kegs of Miller and Budweiser beer and 10 kegs of Coors" Couldn't resist Keith |
