Colorado sounds tasty. Would have to be spring or fall for me to make it though.

Hey Dana, no worries on getting home from the track if something happens. Just do what I did...Took my X1 on a trip a while back, X1 cratered on me, still got home on 2 wheels. Bought a BMW!

problem with a track day is that people that come from far and wide don't like to risk damage to there scoot and maybe being stuck in a bad situation.

How's that different from B-trax? Can still damage & screw your bike up pretty damn good & yet the folks have no issues running in them.

Although Spidy should "just say no": D

Meet in Arkansas. Good riding there. And someone has the right idea. Actually ride instead of touring a delearship or factory. Bars are ok to tour, but only after the riding is over.

Heck, Colorado is only a 2 day ride from Philly : )
Okay, it's one day ~1000 miles outside St. Louis and one day trailering, if you want to be technical.

Notice the aerodynamically correct position of the fairings? ; )

I have seen broken shifters, snapped off clipons, headlights shattered, etc all at B-trax events.

Have seen 2 bikes during 4 track days that were damaged enough the rider couldnt ride it home.

Just watch for mudslides.... right Al?"

You betcha, I'd love to ride there again, in a month that DIDN'T rain every freakin day. That was a pretty wet trip, and the Mt. Evans day, what with the wreck, the heaviest rain I've EVER ridden in, and the mudslide, was a day I'd certainly like to never repeat again. But it was still a stellar trip, one I'd love to do again.

I drove thru the section where the slide occurred on the way to Wisconsin for homecoming, but I couldn't figure out the exact spot. It all looks very different when there isn't the side of a mountain pouring down upon you.

Denver or west for a rally??

East of Denver?

Al

Then that was luck and you'd have to admit that Dyna.I'll take a slow speed drop over a fast speed drop far from home any day.

I would love to meet and have a chance to get to know all of the crew here at the BadWeB. Riding would be secondary. We would ride of course, but more so I'd want lots of opportunity to socialize.

Anyone traveling from out of state & planning on attending a track day would most likely be trailering the bike anyways. Its a moot point.

Hell I trailer to Blackhawk & Road America just in case something does happen.

Besides, Brag isnt going to authorize a track day anyways.

Colorado or bust baby!!!

Why not? I did the Learning Curves school at Blackhawk Farms during Homecoming '99.

I dont think we could afford to rent a track such as RA for the day..aint cheap.

Lets do colorado, roads are better than any track.

We could do Black Hawk and Gearhead just did RA if the timing is right we could get in on a prexistant track day going on there we'd just have to get people to sign up.

Dana...we have track days right now & 90% or more of the folks in the local Brag clubs arent even attending them for one reason or another.

Who from this are attended RA last week?? Nobody.
Guys from Iowa do.

I get rather disappointed that the turnout for events such as track days & B-trax are poorly attended by the local contingent.

we'd just have to get people to sign up.

Exactly!!
Good luck getting that to happen. I have been hounding folks for the last 2 months to sign up for Blackhawk & how many of the Ukes/Hals group are going?

Griz & Heather, myself & hell im not even a member of either group officially. I wish more locals would attend these events.

If we gotta worry about getting folks to sign up & whether or not there will be enough to put it together, then I say lets do Colorado. Hell I dont need a Badweb/brag event to do a track day, none of us do...Dave has several a year. learning Curves is always at Blackhawk, Sean & edge racing out on quite a few a year.

If its an event to meet the folks & ride, then I say lets make it a memorable one & hit some fantastic roads & beautiful scenery. Slicing thru the continental divide, tearing up the backroads around Golden & Blackhawk Colorado, etc etc. A damn track day cant possibly compare to that. I have been out there on a bike & its a gorgeous area.

I said it before, ride the roads out there & you would sell your bike before you would even think about riding on the crud roads we have here.

Hey Brad, Other than being forced to ride over Independence Pass, through Rocky Mtn National Park(hitting the Peak to Peak Hwy along the way), over Monarch Pass twice, Rabbit Ears and Muddy Passes four times, Berthoud Pass twice, Hwy 50 along the Arkansas River between Canon City and Salida a couple of times, and all the roads that get us from here to those places and back things are going OK: ).

Kim

Of course Hoosier, Loveland, and Vail Passes don't count as they are just three of the six routes out of the county.

Homecoming is an Annual and Cali kinda far for our right coasters, puts Colorado smack in the middle of the Buellmap. With Aaron by Denver and Travis by Canon City all we need is someone around the Wolf Creek Pass and we could map out a route that would be INCREDIBLE!!!!!

If you stay west of the front range, ANY route would be incredible. Especially to people from the midwest.

I ain't trying to pick a fight here but, ridin has always been secondary maybe because of the destination.

I am guessing if we had a get together where there were great roads riding may become a little more of a priority.

ofcourse theres always the fact that noone can get hurt if we ain't ridin. and I don't say that sarcastically at all just a fact.

but me myself, I would rather ride and then hang out at night and talk it up. I just ain't got that much to say in a day over the course of three days.

I really would like to get together with ya'll but I want to ride also.....alot
