Looks like the 650CC MPS-PF record that Terry was shooting at last year with his Blast got pushed up close to 130, too. |

Yo Bob. How's your new Beemer? Think it'll plow through Oak Hill better than the X1? |

Darn it. I just *knew* I should have wringed it's little turbo charged neck. To heck with the bike owners concerns ... Henrik |

Blake, I gave up tilling the east TX soil some time ago. Do have a track day scheduled at TWS, looking like the Beemer will make it's debut there, as the X1 is still in Birmingham in pieces. Fun bike tho, that uber machine. Still getting used to interpreting the "feel" of the telelever. As TX starts cooling down, I will most likely start doing some excursions up your way and beyond. Love riding the AR twisties. I'll see if I can pull you away when the time comes. Will be packing the tent too. |

Sean? Me, steal your bird? I wouldn't do that to a mate. I must make it back to the UK sometime. Would like to visit my old school and home town and reminisce. Then join you in flogging other peoples scoots. Nice read, BTW. |

"Sean? Me, steal your bird? I wouldn't do that to a mate" Doubt you would have a chance ,I am positive she is still awaiting the return of Rocket crying her self to sleep each night over a pint of Gin Good to her from yer mate. Rocket put the girl out of her missery and go back and marry her. |

Quick general question - where does the "3%er" come from? I've heard 1%er before, but 3%? thanks, lemonchili |

As I recall... Buell averages 3% of Harley's sales? |

P/N H0301.8 rear brake pads. Are these for the M2 or S2? Found them in a box last night, apparently I bought spares some time ago but didn't mark the box for which bike they go to. Thanks. I'll come back and delete or edit this message later. |

The .8 suffix leads me to believe thet they're for the S2. I'm 80% sure that the M2 should take .F. Maybe check the mounting tabs on each of the bikes?? Danny |

They made other announcements as well (v4?). I'm wondering if their sales guys are from the Microsoft school of marketing. |

Ya mean the "announce great things just around the corner" vaporware thing, so people in the market hold off buying something else because said co. promises something better in the "near future"? Nah, wouldn't happen. Of course, what also won't happen is the product living up to the hype. Remember the Fischer liter bike? It's now powered by an SV650 clone motor. Supercharger is on the way, though, right? friggin' vaporware bikes. |

RC8 has been pushed back Boy, every day I am just more disappointed that Buell makes these XB bikes with the antique engine rather making a really cool bike the KTM twin. In fact I am going to sell my XB and try to get credit for all those disappointing miles I have ridden over the last two years. why is I had just waited a mere couple of weeks that trick KTM woul dbe out it will just distroy my bike. Man am I unhappy. Everytime one of those KTM's blast by I get green with envy. Oh excuse me I am having one of those out of time dreams. You know the one, where all the other bike makers actually maek the vapor wear bikes? |

I don't get this RC8 thing- Alan Cathcart rode it and loved it, talked it up like crazy to motorcyclist. How can it be close enough to being done that Cathcart (a hell of a rider I believe) talks about it like it's the second coming, but we cant get one until 2007? I think KTM is screwing up big time making us wait for this bike. The demand is here from the people I have talked to about it. They need to get on it and sell it asap. |

I'm thinking it may have something to do with actually being able to afford to complete the design for manufacturability, tooling up, and getting the plant operating -- all take money, and lots of it I'm sure KTM would give their eye-teeth to make ship that bike . . . . I'm betting they just can't afford to |

Way to go Dunlop Tires! With less the 50 miles on a brand new rear 207, suffered a major puncture yesterday. Called Dunlop today, spoke to a very nice woman by the name of Virginia. She explained to me that Dunlop could not cover the tire under warranty. She then offerd to look into things in greater detail and asked for me to have the dealership call her direct to see what can be done. Bike is in the shop as I speak having a new 207 put on courtesy of Dunlop tires. Thanks Virginia! |

>>>I think KTM is screwing up big time making us wait for this bike. We are not waiting. To quote one of my favorite writers.....
quote:"making the motorcycle is the EASY part"
As Father Gess will attest, that is a gross understatment. What sets Erik Buell apart is not so much the motorcycle as PRODUCING THE MOTORCYCLE. That's why he needs people like Dave and I.....er, wait...hold on...ooops....scratch that... In all seriousity, MAKING a Buel takes a whole bunch of genusii marching in step like the Ohio State marching band (and having about the same number of fights) |

What's all the commotion about locks....3 bikes on the street here in front of CitiCorp and no one seems to be bothering them. Of course, there aaaaaaaaaaare 80 people with automatic weapons who just leapt out of unmarked vans. I've heard about the "Hercules" teams...first sighting. |
