Well after owning 30 or so japanese motorcycles over the past 30 years I must admit that I truly love this Buell( 1998 s1).I liked every japanese bike I owned,but this is the first one that actually has a soul which enables me to forgive all its vices.My question is why do these have such poor resale value compared with a Harley(great if your in the market for a used one)In fact value is so low I will try and find another for my wife. |

I think because most people don't really "get" the Buell thing until they ride one. |

Its because the Harley mindset doesn't recognize Buell or its features as marketable. |

It is a nich bike, very small nich, very small production numbers. Also has a reputation of problems, often catastrophic. |
