Oz and Grounskeeper are stuck in Massachsets
at Sotherby's or Sheldon's H-D and Buell Alex wasn't sure of the dealers name but was sure that they were stuck in Ma with a bad stator.

So if any one in the Ma area could call Oz at 773 895-6504 I am sure it would be apprciated.
Thank you,
Spidey

I just talked with OZ, and he and Groundskeeper are put up for the night. Oz's bike is safe, and the stator should be at the dealership tomorrow morning at 10:00. The situation is under control, and they have a little "incident" to make the trip a little more memorable. Hopefully, their last leg home will be trouble free, then they can post a ton of pictures from Newfoundland.

Before i forget, please let me know if you have these,

Torque value for the following bolts:

Stator bolts
clutch basket and rotor nuts
primary allens

the job is being completed in the parking lot, by myself and OZ and we dont have a book, and since we are using 5 of there tools, i really would prefer to have the specs handy instead of having to trouble them to much, they have been great but i would prefer to have everything ready to go if i can
thanks much

At least you have done the job in the past & can do it blindfolded.

See you when you finally get home.

Yea but i still need the specs. i have an idea, but Oz says i need to do it right or something like that, as always better safe than sorry
Still not fond of doing it in a parking lot but, as always stuff happens, home by Sat, no big deal, FXDX has treated me better than she should have, loads of fun, and some stories i dont think most will belive, i actually was thinking about it last night, and still find it hard to belive
more to come(after i get out of this Hotel)

From my 1998 S3/S3T service manual:
1) Secure stator using four newTORX screws. Tighten screws to 30-40 in-lbs (3.4-3.5 Nm)

2) (Clutch) Washer must be installed with the word "out" facing the mainshaft nut or transmission may be damaged. Install nut (left-hand threads). Tighten to 70-80 ft-lbs(94.9-108.5 Nm).
3) Tighten Primary cover bolts to 80-110 in-lbs(9.0-12.4 Nm).

You'll also need something to wedge between the engine sprocket and the clutch basket when you torque those nuts.

Wish I was there to party with ya. It's too long of a ride after the past few weeks, or I'd join you.

Here we go Roger,

I'm still not back on Euro time so I've been out to the garage in the dark!

These are out of the 99/OO Cyclone book,

stator mounting screws 30-40 in-lbs,

clutch mainshaft nut 70-80 ft-lbs,

Engine sprocket nut 190-210 ft-lbs,

primary cover bolts 99 models 80-110 in-lbs,
2000 models 100-120 in-lbs.

Hope this helps, wish I could come & give you a hand to make Cartman better but you'd be gone before I got there.

Say hi to the cook for me, Innes.

This is the first time I have checked in since yesterday afternoon.

I am back on the West Coast of the island.

HOw far is it to Mass, I could always deliver some Screech to help ease the pain and bring more tools.

Closer to Buffalo than Sydney - close to Chez Crusty...
Thanx for the offer though.
I had the forethought to get Screech @ the duty-free (ding-dang good thing, too).
Should have new part(s) in under 1 hour. (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Actually dealer (Sheldon's) has been very helpful.
