Helmet? we don't need no stinking helmets in the rain!Just kidding. My helmet is a ventless full face Arai. The ones with vents for air circulation also seem to let water in. My experience anyway. |

geoff; what exactly is the problem you're having with your helmet? Visor fogging up? If so, there is Fog City inner shield to help eliminate fogging. There are also a few things to smear on the inside like Cat Crap, that supposedly minimize fogging. Let's know. Henrik |

Hey, did I read recently of someone mentioning helmet locks? Or is that a fragment of my imagination? If it was, please advise me to what has been used. It would be greatly appreciated. |

hay Lemonchili, did you ever decide on an intake possibility? I keep forgetting to take pics of my bike.. I would take one right now, but it is FILTHY! i rode throuhg some HEAVY RAIN!, and Hale last night and the bike got majorly dirty. That force intake w/ the wetsock works great in the rain. |

NICE Misato! Actually makes me want an XB-12. The exhaust on the green one looks killer. Well the whole bike does too. |

Blackbelt - ebay helped me make the decision! I scored a pro-series back plate and filter on ebay, they arrived on monday, and I bought a used chrome cover off a Sportster. So it's going to be a DIY pro-series... still have to make up a spacer and some fittings to hold and seal the sporty cover, and paint it black. Probably won't happen for a little while though, but at least I've got the backing plate which makes everything easier when I get to it. I got the blue stripes made up, hoping to put them on in the next few days, will post pics when it's done. And go on, post some "dirty" pics for us Misato - love the green, LOVE the flames! cheers, lemonchili |

lemonchill, You do realize that the mounting holes are different for a pro series backing plate and a sporty air cleaner cover right? |

Buelliedan - yeah I know, I'll have to make a little adapter inside the housing and maybe replace or shorten the threaded bars to suit. Little jobs like this keep me off the street at night lol |

ferris, thats a freind of mines S1, the paint is the same as when he bought it but he has done alot of work on it. He does have that mag with his S1 in it.. you took the pics in that mag? I thought someone said the guy that built it was out of oregon or something. that name kinda sounds familiar. the 9s with the flames is his girlfriends bike, and of course mine is the green xb |

Misato, yeah, took the pix and wrote the piece. Lynn Ashcroft is from Salem, Oregon, and is also a lawyer. you'd dig his shop, very sano and trick. he was featured awhile back, along with some of his bikes, on American Thunder on SPEED TV. Ferris |

Brotherder, I took a vacuum hose and cut it to fit the top edge of my visor when it leaked. It pinches tight enough the water doesn't leak down. The other thing is obvious, drive between the raindrops at high enough speed even if they do hit they go sliding right off your helmet...that was a joke folks, don't try that at home and all that other legal cover my $$A mumbo jumbo. Helmet locks for the Lightnings? There should be a piece of figure 8 wire in your underseat tool kit that loops through your helmet Dring then both loops hook on one of the pegs in the rear subframe where the seat hooks grab. |
