Hey I am soooo proud of myself and I had to share it with people that would understand. People that don't ride would never understand the sense of accomplishment I feel. I took my daughter for her first ride on my bike this evening. WHoohooo. She was a little rough at first hitting my helmet every time I shifted but she got the hang of it and by the time we were headed home she did GREAT!!!!!! Torquer- Last week we were there kind of early and as long as we took a table up on the 'deck' they didn't care. Besides you guys will be there soon enough. |

Ok...put those new Ducatti bars on the bike last night to see how they looked. It has about an inch less rise but the biggest difference is the pullback. The bars are almost straight with no pullback. I really like that. The only problem is that the space at the bottom of the bars where it clamps in to the triple tree is slightly too narrow. The clamp will hold them tight but there is a 1/4" gap between the top clamp and bottom. Would this be a problem if I decided to use them? Also, they are 2" wider and I wanted to cut them off to match the stock 27" width. Some thoughts please. |

They may be OK. Try sitting on the bike, and put some good force on them. Pulling back and pushing forward, hard. If they don't move they should be OK. As far as length, give a good try before you cut them. Mine are 2inches longer than stock, I was going to cut them but put it off. I'll not cut them, I'm glad I put it off. The extra leverage really helps flick the bike around in the tight stuff, and when playing around in parking lots, helps with low speed maneuvers also. |

I second that. Rizoma offers a bunch o f'n' cool bars if you decide you don't like the clamp being open like that. An additional thought is: The more surface contact between the bars and the clamp the better. |

Thanks Glitch...knew I could count on you for your insightful guidance. The big reason I want to use those bars is that they accomplish what I want and most of all they are FREE! How late is Cycle Gear open on weekdays? Glitch.... maybe you can assist me on the conversion after I get some new grips and then we can ride over to my lab and show you my lamination set-up? Deal? |

How late is Cycle Gear open on weekdays? 7:00 I think, that's what time they closed last night. Deal? Deal!, only I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow and won't be back til Sunday night. So, any day after that'll fine. |

I think these are Rizoma bars. They look like the pics and if you look in the end of the bar it is thick. The inside diameter is smaller than the stock and it has a billet bar end. I will have to modify the 3rd eye to make it fit in the hole. Wait..that sound pretty sexually explicit. |

Silvermullet: Hope you had a good weekend and beginning. Are you going to make it to the meeting at the Vortex this Thursday to discuss the potential happenings at our Sport-Enthusiast's Day? I'm sure I'll get over the Silvermullet thing here in a minute. It just strikes me funny. .Current tentative date Sept 25th |

You've got a bloody right to say! I was just handed the tape of the show at Marrietta Dodge. Looks OK, probably would have been better, but they didn't give the guys a lot of running room. |

I just want to say that I think you guys are a great bunch of guys. -even if Pete does 'accidently' puke on me. Compared to the irresponsible, beer drinking, redneck, loud mouthed, unsafe, squid riding guys I saw last night and I see on the street quite often I'm glad I met you all first and learned the safe riding habits that you guys promote through example. Thanks, it's harder to break bad habits then just learn good ones from the get go. |
