Daves from Appleton HD has carbon frame sliders. Some badwebbers bought and posted pics a couple of weeks back. Sorry, but I can't remember who.

Fbolt:
\ imagelink{url...here}
without the space between the backslash and the word "imagelink" will get what you were trying for.
Hope this helps.

Not 'old style'. Daves sells a different brand now, hence the difference.

Same ones. Only I got them through DaveS when he was selling them for Trojan.

The link works just fine.
This is what I thought you were after.

I was... I just wanted to use the word glitch. 020283, I bought mine from that site but I believe that Trojan sells them also. Easy install except for cutting the ram air.

I just wanted to use the word glitch. : D

I'm not sure where you can get them now.
DaveS is selling a different kind now.
Try Trojan.

Man, these posts have me confused....like that's real hard to do. Where can the 'traditional' sliders that are shown above on the blue XB, the one that is sticking through the ram air duct, be purchased from? I'm curious to have look at how they are mounted.....

http://www.satoracing.com/

This is the company that sells the 'traditional' sliders. I think in anything other than a simple tip over they will snap right off, but that's just my opinion.

On the buell website, they show frame pucks that are supposed to help from small scratches. Anyone used these before? i know they are new on the website so i didnt know if they are just now new or have been around. they are 40 bucks

The frame pucks should protect your frame from the effects of the occasional lowside. At the very least they are a good way to cover any minor dents that you might incur.

Personally I don't care for the full carbon fiber sliders, I think they cause the frame (fuel tank) to retain too much heat.

Thanks for getting me straightened out Darth. Gotta agree that the Sato sliders do indeed look pretty feeble, with a high probability of snappable-offablity.....

I have the SATO's and don't feel that they're feeble-Although everyone who doesn't have them, or who hasn't seen them in person agrees with the feebleness thing. Come to think of it, I'm the only one that I know who has'em and the only one who doesn't think that they'll snap off in a heartbeat.

FBolt -- I'm the only one I know (gulp!) who has the LSL's. I also now have the Free Spirits C/F sliders, also (they fit like crap, but...)

Pretty soon I'm just going to weld a giant cage around me and...oh, never mind, that's called a car. ; )

Bad, Bark - those are the ones Daves currently sells, yes?

I'm waiting to see what they're like when I get home, then I guess I'll have to decide if I keep those or order the Trojan ones. I'd really prefer having the Kevlar in there, and I like the styling a little better, too.

On another note, anybody have the Sato fork/swingarm bobbins? I saw those on the Trojan site when I was perusing the other day and am thinking about getting a set.

Frame sliders? Yall are a bunch of wimps, just do like a certain someone who I will not name until they want to tell the story. Use your frickin knee as a frame slider, works great but its a little hard on the levi's and skin.
