These XBs appear to be extremely reliable. I have 5500 miles and than a bad clutch cable (warranty item) the bike is just flawless. Love it too!

At 20,000 my stator went out. The guys at Stone Mountain Harley Davidson/Buell (Thanks Torqer!) took one out of a new 12R because it was on back order. Back on the road in a few days 22,000 or so now. |

I love this bike.. and Im hoping im the first that gets to brag about 30,000 miles on a stock motor.. so ski, did you ever post pics of your bike in its new black bodywork.. ??? Thats the same thing I wanna do.. I hope to get it done by next year, along with the new villian black rims |

Viros, Im hoping im the first that gets to brag about 30,000 miles on a stock motor) My stock motor seized @30344 Yes I did post some pics of it in black, somewhere in the archives?? None with the fog lights 420, and I pulled them the last time I took it in for warrenty work and have not re-installed them yet. Ski edited by xb9rski on July 22, 2004 |

If you figure that the average Jap Bike owner puts approx 2000 miles on his bike in a year, I've already gotten over 15 years of mileage on my bike. Ski |

Heh...still at 15K...of course, my bike's been in storage for ten months. I suppose that means I've just added ten months of life to it on the flip side, right? -=bounces=- Almost time to go home to my babe and bikes! |

Darth, you'll have to take over where Ski left off...with you coming back and Ski leaving for Okinawa for two years! I'd love to try and carry the torch, but I've only been able to rack up a little over 6k in my bike's first year. (although 90% of that has been in the last 5 months) |

Ehh, I'll never rack up those numbers because my daily ride to work is a whopping six or seven miles. His was more like 70 or something. Hell, I'd have 30K plus if I put on a hundred miles a day just trying to get to work. ...I WILL do my best, though. I need to pass Glitch again, since he was so proud to be beating me... |

LOL...I'm going to have to plan another visit down there in another two years. I'll have 50K and still be on my first belt, so I'm gonna do some serious nose-rubbing! ...any word on the accomodations for the RtR adventure? I just registered, but I'm only gonna be able to make the 'official' days, plus Saturday (heading back north Sunday). |

We're welcome. Not gonna get the Vacation Home like I wanted. But the folks said we could stay, no problem. We'll work out the details after you get back on this side of the Pacific. I'm probably only going to be able to make the official days as well and leave Sunday morning. But, at least we get to go. |
