Something that was real nice about my other bike is that the mirrors are mounted on the handlebars rather than the fairing. Real nice because at a stop I can turn my wheel from side to side and get view of everything going on around me. Thinking about a bar end mirror for my left side or a mirror that mounts to the left clipon. Any recommendations for one that does not vibrate at idle, or at least not much (as that would make it pretty much worthless)? For an XB9R. Thanks. |

I've been very happy with the Napolion bar ends I picked up from American Sport Bike. http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=prod&ref=PROD114 -Geof |

I like my Napolion's too, but they do vibrate quite a bit when I am idling. But then again what Buell doesn't vibrate your hands to sleep when just sitting and idling?

I had the Napolions but switched to CRG because the rubber gromets that go into the bars from the Napolions DRY ROTTED!!! and in under 2 years. And the CRG's don't have that system. Also like the look better of the CRG's.

I have the CRG Lane Split Barend mirrors, pretty much vibration free, but I find the view is very deceptive i.e. a vehicle that looks a long way back is really very close. I still find myself turning my head to look, not a bad thing I guess. |

Wait!...don't laugh at me, but I bought, through a suggestion from this website, the 3rd Eye bar end mirrors. They're supposed to be for mountain bikes, but they work great for the Buell. I had the Napoleon bar end mirrors....they vibrated a lot more than the 3rd Eye ones do. For $11 each I think the 3rd Eye mirrors are very much worth it. |

Hey, I was just poking around the Buell site looking for some accessories... http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/accessories/productslist.asp?Menu_ID=4&ID= 1282&MITEM=66 Can one of these be used/mounted on a XB9R? (it's the stock bar mounted mirror from the XB12S). Nice price and OEM to boot. |

Yep, they'd mount to the top of clutch/brake lever assemblies - but on an XB-R, they'd only stick out as far as the regular mirrors but more importantly, they'd hit the fairing... |
