Roger, Looks like I'll be playing catch up to you until we hit the ferry. That's ok though, my plans have been set forever as well, just wanted to see where everyone is at. Congrats on the new bike, I'll see you in a few short days! Alex |

Looks like I'll be playing catch up to you until we hit the ferry. Are you taking the ferry to Argentia or Port Aux???We decided to go straight to argentia,st John so as to not miss to much of the action, also if we rode across the island and than back we would kinda be doing the samething twice and decided to do a non repetative trip, Greg, dont let the wife get to Jealous, i did after all total a Monster, which is the only reason i could afford the HD after all, but it sould be a little easier on the back and shoulders, guess i will find out next week, i pick the bike up today R |

Alex, I'm sticking with the plan to get on the ferry at Sydney to Port Aux Bauques on July 31 @ 11:30pm (or so). If you want to switch with those guys or whatever (sorry Charlotte). Let me know whether I should be looking for you on the ferry or not. We pretty much have the bikes ready to go. Just do an oil change on each and minor tweaks and we'll be ready. |

We picked up the T shirts this afternoon. I think everybody will be happy with them. I think that we'll ship them to Newfie, though. They take up more room than I expected. Bill, is that O.K. with you? Two more weeks! This is gonna Rock!!! |

Just put in a new battery; tonight I will put some fiberglass into my hardbags and a last minute oil change in a couple weeks and I'll be ready. Did try to switch my reservation to July 31 @ 11:30 but that was already full up so I will just have to show up a few hours later than some of you other folks. Got to plan the trip a little more now. I just know that I have family in Attica, MI that I am required to spend the first night with. Have to see if the youth hostels 'tween here and there still have any openings... So Newfie, you got a yard with about 4 square meters to spare? |

There's no easy to say this; I'm not going to be able to go. Terri got very sick on Saturday, and we wound up in the Emergency room for about eight hours. After several tests, including a Spinal Tap, they loaded her with morphine and sent her home. Sunday, we were back. More morphine (twice) and eventually they let her leave. She has to see specialists, and her doctor has advised against her going. We've been planning this trip for nearly a year; I have no way to describe my disappointment. I shipped the T-shirts to Newfie, and they'll be there within a week. I hope you all have a great time. We'll be there in spirit, if not in reality. Have a Beer for me, and say a prayer for Terri. Sorry guys. |

Boys, Seeing we are dwindling in numbers....lets try to determine when everyone is coming. Please email me when you will be arriving at North Sydney to come over so I can attempt to co-ordinate something on the other side of the island.

Excellent, Tonight I was riding the DR650 (Urban Assault Vehicle) and came across two lost bikers from Minnesota. Gave them the tour of the downtown area, business card and offered a guided tour of some twisty roads tomorrow. I can't wait for people to get here. Crusty, give us all an update on Terri, maybe there is still some hope. |

O.K., After a cat scan, an MRI, a Spinal tap and a few other tests, the doctors have determined that Terri does not have anything wrong that is life threatening. She is having severe Migraines, but they are unsure of the cause, though they suspect that it is hormonal in nature. She saw a specialist, and she is on some medication, but they won't know for a month or two if it is going to work. The scary part is that Terri goes blind at the onset of the Migraine. If she were to get one on our way, she'd have to stop riding immediately, and I'd have to get her to an E.R. so they could give her morphine. She wouldn't be able to ride for a couple of days. The specialist seemed to think the odds of her getting a Migraine during the trip were pretty good. I really wish that things were different, and that we could make the trip. We've had it planned it since last year. Anyone who wants to stop by here is welcome. We'll put you in one of the kids' rooms(they're away at Camp) and I'll be more than happy to show you some interesting roads, or shoot the breeze, if you're tired of riding. |

Crusty...That is great news considering the alternatives. FYI, Di's migranes went away after she reached a certain point in menopause. Until then, they were pretty ugly. Time and better living through chemistry will tell the tale. Di shunned the drugs after the first Rx and decided Advil was better for her. Everyone is different so keep an open mind. Keep the Faith and God Bless, |

Don't know if this makes a damn bit of difference in Terri's case but I used to have very serious migraines that were presaged by blindness. In my case after some time I figured out in each case I had forgotten to eat for a day or so. A common enough occurance for me as I tend to focus on things very single mindedly. I feel kind of stupid saying it when I have no idea if it applies but I figure on the slim chance it does it's worth the risk of sounding a little foolish. If you give me your address I will definitely stop by with tales of the great white northeast. |
