If your talking about a Sweedish Penis Pump...not good enough. Since most of these shapes have some big contours, you need to pull at full atmosphere. That is about 27-28lbs of mercury. Basically you want the most vacuum you can pull. You can get a pump that is about he size of a shoe box. Grainger has them for about $140.00. Put a few fittings on them and a rubber hose and connect them to your lamination jig that will hold your cast. I have the chin faring on the bike and it looks good. If I say so myself! I will e-mail torqer the pics in the morning. |

Looks really good! Soon you'll have the first all carbon XB in GA. Ya bastidge! I'm jealous! Can you get a different color? What I was thinkin' is do a "points cover." Do two layers. Fist one the usual black. The second in a lighter color cut in the shape of a 3% logo. Or if no other is available cut the logo with the grain goin in a different direction. Kind of a ghost logo. Whatchathink? |

I just used resin with no pigment. If you do use a color it just get in between the fibers. Looks weird. The logo sounds difficult. It would take some practice and a steady hand with the dremel tool. I backed the piece with that insulating tape and gave it a hard quick romp last night. It got hot but I believe that it will hold up to the heat of the header.

Does anyone know if the rear tire has to be removed in order to remove the belt guard(s)?

Glitch do you know anyone with a $500,000 CNC router table? That would make it easy to get the logo in there. I used to operate one at my last job. Hoe ever I do not have any good contacts there any more. B_S: man you ought to be proud of yourself... That looks really good. It is on the wrong bike though. I thought you wanted to see how it looks on a red 12s. Now that you have the cast, how many vacuums will it withstand? |

Thanks....It goes better with the black.. The cast will take as many as you want as long as you be careful cutting off the laminate. You can always repair the cast w/ more plaster. I can call some people and probably locate a CNC. |

B_S: if you are trying to locate one and are asking questions...keep in mind that in order to do something so small with detail like the 3% logo, it is important that the table have a vacuum system to hold the Carbon fiber material down as the router pushes it's blade through. If it does not, the material will get pushed around some (even with clamps) and the integrity of the design will be lost. Did anyone watch the UPN last night at 10:30? I fell asleep at 10:22. It was not on Monday night. |

Okay no one has asked and maybe you haven't had time to think about it... how much is mine going to cost. Remember I have an extra of each piece of body work... including the intake you were talking about the other day. |

Not that it should affect the price to me... I'm just here for any help I can give. |

I'm all about the barter system. If you got something I want and I got something you want we can work something out. Not necessarily cash. And NO, I won't trade for sexual favors you sick people. Although, everyone has a price? I haven't thought about price. I will have to factor in material cost and Labor. I will also have to do it after hours. I was pushin' it doing the pieces during work. Right now I am doing the trials on my bike so I won't fcuk up yours. You can't rush perfection, ya know! |

OK, this is more of what I was talking about. No need to CNC the logo, cut before the layup. B_S, we need to talk. I was thinking of making parts to put out for selling. That's why my big intrest in this. Ya wanna go in on this together? |

GLitch...once you cut a dry fiber it would be hard to keep them together once it wet out. I don't think you could see it. You might have to laminate a sheet, cut out the logo and do a second lamination with just resin to bond together. Yeah...lets talk I could always use some cash and a third job. |
