HEY GUYS, WE HAVE A REQUEST FROM THE NEW MEXICO RIDERS TO STAY IN SPRINGERVILLE INSTEAD OF SHOWLOW BECAUSE, 1) IT IS CLOSER FOR THEM 2) IT IS CLOSER TO THE END OF THE R0AD ON SUNDAY 3) THE MOTEL RATES ARE CHEAPER... THERE IS STILL TIME TO CANCEL RESERVATIONS WE HAVE MADE. THINK ABOUT IT AND POST YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS. SPRINGERVILLE IS ANOTHER 2 HOURS EAST OF SHOWLOW. What happened? I posted but it disappeared... anyways, I'd prefer we stayed in Show Low, but WTF do I know? I'm with the majority...whatever. I do think that would be a bit of a haul for Charlie and Elizabeth tho. Just keep me updated. | ||

K, I talked to the wife and we're a go for the switch if everyone else is. We'll just start early and stop often. I do like the fact that it shortens the ride time on Sunday. At TQ Fest, I was done when we got on the 60 but still had a ways into Showlow Hey Bart, your suggestion, so I'll leave it to you to declare which hotel. I've never been to Springerville. There ARE no BRAG clubs in Phoenix. Hacienda is trying to start one, and Chosa's had one. But I know of no active Brag group in the area... We are it. Just hang out here, and we'll show ya where to ride! | ||

Just a heads up, I am not certain the logistics will allow me to participate. IT was a great idea but my biggest concern of the moment is getting fully moved from Penis...er Phoenix, damn been hanging around Bart too much...anyways. I had been given an offer of me palleting my stuff and an independant trucker who runs from AZ to MI would put it in his trailer and run it up for about $250. He generally runs half loads up to MI so it wouldn't have been a problem. He knew he had a load going out the 16th actually pulling out on the 17th so it was perfect timing. He just got informed he will be taking a full trailer this time and that the next 2 runs will be full as well. So I am trying to figure this out. Uhaul wants $1600 for their smallest truck, Budget wants $1000. That doesn't include fuel. For that kind of money I will buy a beater truck and get it myself...so logistically speaking...I am not sure what I am going to do. I may still just come down and get my bike and a few other things, see if I can get a smaller space and worry about it down the road...anyways that is where I stand. | ||

Hey folks, Springerville. I talked to the people at the Rode Inn (snicker,snicker) a very cool place where we have stayed before. #928-333-4365. Ask for Kathy. She is holding four or five rooms for us and can probably give us a better rate than the 69.95 (includes breakfast). Last time we were there we cooked out in the parking lot, drank beer, made noise -- they are very biker friendly. If this sounds cool, post here or ping me @ murraebueller@yahoo.com or 505-988-3675 and we'll confirm with them the number of rooms to hold. Two of us from NM for sure, hoping to bring 4 or 5 total. | ||

Bill, Welcome to the only psuedo-organized BRAG club in Az. Sounds like you've earned your adventurer title. I wish I could sail the world but my wife insists we stay within view of terra firma. Like Bart said, your best bet for riding with like minded Buellers is to post here. These guys ride weekly and often meet for beers etc. I, living out here in the armpit called Yuma, don't get to meet up with everyone, but I like to stay active here and find out where I can. Welcome to the board, hope to meet you soon. Whatcha doin' on the 17-19? We're riding to Showlow or perhaps Springerville on Saturday, riding a loop into New Mexico and back up the 191 on Sunday, and coming home Monday. If you think you can swing it, this is definitely a ride not to be missed. Even if you can only make part of it. Chuck | ||

I will be driving down the 16th and won't hit AZ probably til the 19th. Then having to head right back the next day. Managed to get a decent toy truck for a really decent price...sorry I won't be able to make it, but the timing just isn;t giving me much choice. | ||
