Where are those springs located? is it possible a spring has broken? Do I need to order something now, in order for it to be here by splash? I have the bike at my house right now, but I dont have any tools. If I did I would be pulling it apart asap. I still have to get a new tire put on the bike, new ignition, and all my new body parts before splash......Ackkkkkk HELP!!!!!!!! I have a manual, not sure exactly what one it is. Speaking of splash, does anyone know if they are booked up at any of the locations? I forgot about getting rooms, too much going on with the wedding and all. |

S1, If bunking with Shotgun is not what you want check out the SPLASH 2004 section. I have posted the motel info in many places. If you still can't find the info let me know and I will be sure that you get it OK. 10 days til SPLASH! Can't wait. Well after the week we have had here at the Taylors house we are now able to relax some and Chris will be returning to work tomorrow. No pickets and walking in circles! YIPPEE! Take care all! Loni |

S1H - In service manual, mine says 1996 S1, page 6-17 Figure 6-15. It is either the spring in the shifter shaft assembly or, more likely the part #1 in that diagram. The spring in the assembly is part # 34491-91 and the other spring is 34483-90. If you are ordering parts you might also order #11019, a retaining ring that should be replaced if you get into stuff, and # 34481-91a, another spring in the area that should be cheap and may be the problem. You will also need a new gasket for the primary drive cover # 34955-89a and new primary drive lube. All of this should be pretty cheap and you will need the gasket and lube regardless of the problem. All part #'s may be updated but the shop will be able to work with them - may be in stock because they are also HD parts. Is your bike in Beaverton? |

Dang if workin' hard don't suck! This new low paying job has my skin so dark I can't tell if it's tan or dirt! ...You know how us GUYS, men that is , paint our tools, so as to not mix them up with one of our brother manly workers? My new boss (at the plant store) has painted his PINK! I am extremly worried, as you may well imagine! sooner friends, Galen |

Galen, not to worry. Who would steal a pink tool? Only a manly man, unfettered by his sexuality could do that to a good tool. |

Us Canucks will be on our way down and passing through the Seattle area sometime around 9:00 - 10:00. Is that a good time to hook up with anyone else for the rest of the ride down to Woodland? Harv |

Damn you guys are pissing me off! I can't go to SPLASH this year and all your giddy talk is gonna make me cry. I'll just have to comfort myself in the Buell t-shirt quilt I'm gonna win. Just don't let Loni pull the winning ticket and I might have a chance. I'll be spending this weekend at the company summer picnic being held at plummer point. Things are beginning to happen on the relocation front. We have a buyer for our home in Tigard, and have an offer on a place in Moscow, pic below. It's about 5 miles North of Moscow, set back in the woods, real nice area. Lots of wild life and very little traffic, how tranquil. 100+ foot pine trees surround the home with views of Moscow and the palouse valley from the deck, it doesn't suck. Just wanted to update everyone on the adventures of spudman in his native environment. Enjoy the SPLASH ride this year. I'll drink an ice cold beer at the company picnic and think about how much fun your having. Just drink a cold one for me at the party in Packwood. Have fun and ride safe everyone. edited by spudman on July 13, 2004 |

Spudman! Great that things are coming together for you! Will miss you at Splash, but catch you next year for sure. In fact, we need another ride besides Splash and Border Raid. Maybe a spring ride out your way. We can call it the SPUDRUN or SPUDSTUD or RELAXING HOHUM IDAHO ROADFEST. Start planning it brother. |
