Good morning, afternoon, evening, etc, etc, etc:

I don't think I caught everyone with my email last week. For those of you that didn't receive it, here's the scoop...

You all invited to join Lisa and myself in celebrating our wedding day. After all the formalities (ceremony & dinner), we're hosting a little party. The gig takes place on Sunday, July 18th at 9:00pm. The location is Chuck's Lakeshore Tavern in Fontana, WI. We'll have live music from The Swing Crew. There are a couple of hotels within crawling distance (The Abbey Resort, Fontana Village Inn).

If you need more information, feel free to contact me via email at awinefan@hotmail.com

Lisa & I hope to see you there!!!!

Dennis

Dana,
now we just have to pick a spot to meet at & leave from. Oh yea, a time also.

Its somewhere around 160-170 miles depending on where you leave from. From my front door to Daves shop is 152 miles, I think its another 25 miles or so to Greenbay.

One other thing, is Andrea riding or is she playing packmule with the Subaru?

Here's the scoop...just got off the phone with Mennis

We are talking about the Tour after lunch at Lambeau which we will be eating there.
I figure since most of us are from Racine and Kenosha, we do like we did at Elkart...Meet at the Boiler Room about 9:45 AM kickstands up by 10:00 AM.
I figure about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs to get up there??
So arrival time would be around 12:30ish gives us relatively 1 hour to relax and have lunch and the tour will begin around 1:30-2:00-ish.
For anyone who is out of Franklin , Milwaukee area that wants to go..we could meet with you somewhere right off of the interstate so you can connect with the group. Any input as to where CJ????

CJ,
Becki, NN and Hellion are driving together and Impulse only lives 5-10 min.from the Boiler room.So I'd think they'll be meeting us there in the morning.Lets us know how you want to meet up???

The Boiler room is fine for us. It's more like 15 minutes but it's not a big deal. If CJ and other milwaukee types wanted to meet up further up the road then I would suggest the McDonalds on Ryan Rd. There is a park and ride right there that we could use without anyone bothering us.

As for the subaru... Elli is coming along for the trip (I've got no other choice) so Becki and I will probably bring our conversion van as I said at the meeting. It's horrible on gas, but it's pretty comfortable and it's got enough storage space for everything we would need. It's even got a heavy duty trailer hitch if anyone feels they want to bring a trailer.

It looks like it's going to rain on Saturday. Scattered showers but we'll probably hit something. I'm getting "special reports" from our weather guys at the station to keep track of it.

Works for me !! Is that the Mcdonalds off the Exit to Ryan Rd from I94 ?? I don't remember seeing a park & ride, but I guess there's one there ?? I'll be there around 10:00 waiting !!

Wisconsin weather sure SUCKS lately !!

BTW....just my opinion but I think 10:00am may be a bit late to hit the road. I would say leave no later than 9:30, so you pretty much guarantee arriving in Green Bay by 12:30

Settled,
The Semi-Truck lot next to the McDonalds at I-94 and Ryan Rd.

And CJ you're right, Wisconsin weather does suck. It's been warmer in Alaska this year than it has been here and its probably drier too.

Oh yeah,
If we gas up before hitting the road, will the XB's be able to make it to Green Bay without stopping for gas?

Also... Are we doing the interstate the whole way or should we try another route. There is a very good state hwy that runs almost the whole way straight up the lake. CJ, Newguy and I rode it on the Appleton run this spring.

No way are you making Green bay without stopping for gas. Its about 170-180 miles.

Which lake are you talking about running along. Michigan or Winnebago? I just took 45 along Winnebago & while it was a pretty decent drive, its also a long @ssed trip that way too.

Right on 45 in Oshkosh I ran into this place

What a joke. Big bad bikers hanging a Suzuki upside down...ohh im scared.

And a couple blocks away was this drive in that had the best damn fries I have ever had. Pretty cool too that the carhops wore rollerskates just like in the 50's.

Actually I was talking about I-43 to Hwy 57. It goes straight to Green Bay, Well almost straight. The road was in very good condition and while it wound through a couple of small towns it was mostly 55.
