Hey Guys, Torque center will mount for you if you bring them in off the bike. You might want to check with them first, by the time you mail order, shipping handling, mounting, it might be just as cheap to get them right from there. If you order from them, mounting is free. I've done it both ways from them, never had a problem. Food for thought.

No riding today !!!! Not because of rain, but a damn nail in my back tire, flatter that effing flat !! I guess I ran it over on Tuesday riding after the BRAG meeting, glad it didn't go flat while coming home late that night !! I did not notice it then, parked it in the garage, went to get it today and not a happy camper !! CJ |

That sucks! I noticed a small cut on the tread of my rear tire, thats why I'm getting new all around. So, to clear up any confusion, will Ukes mount tires not bought thru them? I refuse to put Dunlops back on. M-1's are going on! Pretty stupid on their part if the turn away business and customers. |

CJ I wasn't to impressed with the tires that come on the XB'S.I just bought Metzler MI's.That tire through the dealer is gonna run you $179.95.For a tire thats gonna last 2000 miles and not much more you can keep it for that kind of money. My advise to you is to plug your tire if you can for now and then think of some tires rather soon. But if your gonna replace go with a different brand,Metzeler M1's or pirelli's Diablo's.Don't mix tire brands though. |

Bad, Although I am far from a fan of Dunlop tires, I already have 2000 miles on my new demo and the tires are still looking real good. Even after the little "smoke show". I wish they would wear out so I can put some H2s on it. Gotta have them before the Aug 23rd track day. No way am I going out on the track with the Dunslops on. Dave |

Witht the cost of tires & getting them mounted being what it is, I tend to keep em on the bike until the cord is showing

Man, you guys sure are hard on tires. I have to put a new rear tire on my Busa because it ate a nail Saturday. 8100 miles on the original tire. My wife's Busa will need a tire soon due to wear though. Approx 9000 miles.

Unless your plugging the tire to ride it to the shop to have it replaced, I would not plug it... |

To me when the tire wants to wash out under braking and the tire has lost 75% of its crown, its time to get rid of it.I'm one to like a good tire.when your shoes become uncomfortable on your feet no matter how they look its time to go gettcha some shoes. |

I agree. Plus the fact remains if you aren't comfortable and don't trust the tire, no matter how it looks, you won't ride good, and then the crap starts going wrong. I think the Dunlop warms up ok, and gets pretty stick, but damn' it just slide thru the corner... at least for me it does. I don't trust them, and I have on more than one turn drifted wide cause I didn't want to lean anymore, and that ain't good!! CJ, get yourself a new tire. Bads, how was it dealing with kneedraggers for the tires? They seem to have the best price on the M-1. How was the wait for delivery and such? I'm headed to Deals Gap the 1st part of August and need them FAST!! |
