Well, we were the only two Buells  . Had a decent ride over to Wilhoit too. From Jerome to PV there was a bit of traffic but Prescott to Wilhoit was nice. James... How was the ride to Wickenberg and then Phx? | ||

the ride home was good,and thanks for the warning about the cops at the bottom of the hill there was one patrol car parked along the side of the road just waiting to give out a speeding ticket. m1,i look forward to the next time we can ride together again!!i had a great time riding with you today!!  | ||

Yep Yep Yep! Here's the tentative plan a la Bart: Saturday, 17July, meet in Superior at Los Hermanos cafe/bar at 1100hrs. Get group together and ride to Showlow. Sharing rooms is a good idea to save money. The days inn has good rates. Sunday, 18July, breakfast, early, and then leave for Alpine, cross into New Mexico, ride down through Glenwood, NM, and then down to Clifton, AZ, and on to Morenci. Here we catch hwy 191, and ride like the Buelligans we are up through Hannigans Meadow, and then to Alpine, and back to Showlow. Should be about a 6 to 7 hour ride. Celebrate our victory over the curves that night. Monday, 19July, Breakfast around 9AM, decide which route to take back, either hwy260 down through Payson, or back through the Salt river to Superior. We can part ways, and head to our respective homes. This route and schedule very much mimics the Tourque Fest route. - The Tucson Buellers could just meet us up there Show Low. The time is quickly drawing near and I'm really excited. Looking forward to seeing you all there!  | ||

good description Charlie, That sounds about right. I hope lots of folks can make it. I was scrolling through some of the earlier archives, and wonder whatever happened to Tsheppard, or AZ_M2, and whatever happened to Carey from Chosa's? I saw his old black and orange S2 for sale on eBay not to long ago.  M1, You have glorious ride coming in on 260 through Camp Verde, and Payson on up to Showlow. You lucky dog. Bbuell, Whereabouts you at in town? I'm at 43 ave and Tbird. I'm available for rides every other weekend, and some weekdays. Not sure what's going on for the weekend of the 4th. I imagine everyone has plans, so y'all have a great 4th of July!!! | ||

JUST A QUICK NOTE, There was a chemical truck that crashed on Hwy 191 a few weeks ago, and the hwy has been closed since. They are still trying to clean up the area. I hope they get the Hwy open in time... | ||

Happy 4th all! Hope to see ya all in a couple of weeks. Got the ok from both bosses (wife and work!) to go all three days! I'll be reserve my room this week. I'm stoked about this ride! Do we have an updated head count? | ||

I still need to ask for that Monday off but I'm pretty sure I'm a go. Hwy 260 is quite nice... There's three brilliant uphill sections between Camp Verde and Show Low. RT's Black Bull has some of the best chicken wings I've had and good Pizza as well. Hey all, Just checked the AZ DOT website for info on the 191 closure. The closure for clean-up is supposed to conclude on 07/09. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes according to schedule. Ski, Some suggestions for your mrs & the boys: The Petrified National Forest is a short drive north from Show Low (I think about an hour). There are also several stables for horseback riding south of Show Low near the ski resorts & Casino. Went on a ride last year - Found the place in the local phone book. Either Big Sky or Blue Sky ranch. Whatever they choose, they'll have fun. See everyone soon ... 12 days! | ||

GRRR! Looks like I WON'T be headed over to Laguna this year... I really wanted to go too. Maybe next year. I also won't be able to make the Vegas run... That's the weekend of my GF's birthday... I'll be able to make our TF route run though... | ||
