Why is the sticker on the swing arm black and white? The top of the rear tire is a bit funny too. That's not to mention the wierdness of the reflections on the white body work. |

My best guess is that Buell gets it's color ideas from the ownership surveys it sends out to all the little biker boys and girls just like us. My color preferences on the 2002-03 survey were black, red, and blue. Buell now has back, red and blue bikes. For those of you that filled out the surveys, what colors did you chose? My guess is we'll see them soon. Please tell me no one voted for any "nail polish" colors like the were putting on all those cars in the early 1990's! |

Chaser, Without giving to much away, both colors will be dark. One will be darker than the other. One of them is a wheel color, and will probably look similar to another wheel color on previous Buells. The other is a bodywork color, and I expect it to be the same color as one of the recent bikes, only a bit darker. Of course, that's only what I think. I still haven't actually seen the colors. |

Just kidding, actually. But after all I've read here about the 12's, I am not too sure about them quite yet. Maybe the 9 will endure, only about 50 more payments left on it anyhow. But tonite I did mention to my wife that they may discontinue it and her response was something like "you'd better trade off for the current one" Gotta love the good ones, wifes that is, not bikes. I change those way too often to actually LOVE them...bikes, NOT wives. I think I got that right, OUCH. edited by CURTYD on June 26, 2004 edited by CURTYD on June 27, 2004 |

I'm hoping for more power. The VROD engine would be nice, we can all agree on that. |

The VROD engine would be nice, we can all agree on that. Actually no we dont all agree. I think it would be great, but a number of folks here are hung up on the idea of Buell hanging with the antiquated present V-twin. |

V-Rod revs to 9K I think. As far as weight... well... PLEASE DON'T PUT A V-ROD IN THE XB!!! Maybe something similar but air cooled. DOHC would be nice IMO. |

Well, they do need to do something. I love how the bike handles and the tq is tons of fun, but I would love to see it have some more hp numbers to finally put some people in their place. I've had Buell rides come with our group and while they do hang with us until the triple digits. Now my FZR will be outrun by a Buell but the new 600 bikes won't. IT can put up a fight but only for so long. Now in the corners it might be a different story. I love the Buells, test rode them, and that tq on the low end makes around town riding fun and it's handling makes taking corners a breeze. But I agree, either make it DOHC to get more hp on the top out of it or something. |
