We can ignore both the official Ukraine and Russian numbers, just on principle.

Bottom line is, you are wrong. Trump did not repeat what Ukraine says. He may be off by a few hundred thousand, but that seems to be true of any source in the link above.

The point is he didn't, that's not true. 600k aren't the numbers the Ukrainian military claims, which are 140k higher.
Trump also said Ukraine list 400k. That's not Ukraine army figures either.
So, your rumor/belief is False. Doubly so.
I don't know where Donald got either number. It's not from an official briefing, so it's probably not the CIA. Might be The Economist? Or Wikipedia?
Why? You figure Russia lost closer to 3/4 million than half? |

We have a century of experience in understanding that Russian Leaders are dishonest since The Revolution. So any numbers Putin's minions make up are meaningless.
I even specified, up front, Wikipedia is untrustworthy. And that the Invader and invaded are biased, thus cannot be trusted.
But you continue to accuse without foundation that Trump is trusting Ukraine. When it's obvious he is not. And you've been politely informed of your error.

Fog of war. No one, not even Russia, knows how many people have died. However, that they are bringing in North Korean troops as cannon fodder speaks to the losses they have suffered, whatever the number. The loss of life is tragic. I suspect that none of the dead wanted to be there. Russia has a golden opportunity to slough off the tragedy and death she has endured over the last 100 years and join the west in peace and prosperity. I hope for the best. |
