What do I see in that picture? 1. Different than stock forks. 2. Tubing to the rear of the subframe that does not exist on the 12 or 9 models of the Firebolt. 3. The blanket is dirty 4. The double velocity stack (obvious) 5. The brake fluid reservoir is not the same as the 12 or 9 models that are in productions (would like more info on this). 6. The lower airbox cover on the velocity stack appears to be different. 7. The person's sneakers - he appears to drag his left heal when he walks. This is evidenced by the drag in the rubber. 8. Lastly, the fuel tank. It appears this person has a welded off snorkel. Could be they are have welded off the hole, or they have modified the fram to hold more fuel. What I would like to see? Well, being that Im in the 250 weight category, better springs, and suspension improvements. I like to ride my buell at the track though, and dont see much else that I would like (asides from a 6th gear). |

1. Different than stock forks. I can not remember, but i thought they were stock, with different interneals 2. Tubing to the rear of the subframe that does not exist on the 12 or 9 models of the Firebolt. Thats there new replacable sub frame made by them, and avaliable to anyone off there web site 3. The blanket is dirty its a race bike it 4. The double velocity stack (obvious) it actually has 2 throttle bodies 5. The brake fluid reservoir is not the same as the 12 or 9 models that are in productions (would like more info on this). thats for the 8 piston front caliper, a picture is avaliable on this web site, however i thought it was a 1 off, not sure(bigger caliper more fluid needed) 6. The lower airbox cover on the velocity stack appears to be different. Dual throttle bodies 8. Lastly, the fuel tank. It appears this person has a welded off snorkel. Could be they are have welded off the hole, or they have modified the fram to hold more fuel. Now we are onto something, remeber some of the bikes runnig out of fuel, now does this mean its still a stock frame Jose????Maybe that why there was no talk about Honda(remeber the pits) R

I would say it is a remote oil tank, as the swing arm may have been modified for rigidity. JMO V/R, Nick |

I think it's a remote fuel tank. There was a private party doing the same thing a while back to a stock 12R. I saw a pic but didn't save it. |

The tank is a special air/oil separator/catch can for the crankcase breather system. They just switched to an all Ohlins suspension as of Road America. |

Looking at Glitchs PS image of the 12T model, it could easily be done with the same frame, just use a longer swingarm and rear subframe. Tie the subframe not only at the mounts currently but also attatch it at the shock mount on the frame, then move the shock back to coincide with the longer swingarm should let the bike still stay balanced front and rear. That would let you uhave the room for bags and passenger as in Glitch's image. |

Every day that goes by gets you one day closer. Or just go down to your local friendly dealership and make a conditional deal: buy something off the floor now and if Buell comes out with something that you'd like more by September 16th you get full value trade-in. Between now and then you'll have many smile miles and might not care about what is to come. Just some random thoughts |

Well, my prying has gotten me the names of a new bodywork color and a new wheel color. I'm not sure exactly what these colors will look like, but I have a good idea. Also, I've found the model name for an XB I've never heard of. Anyone else find anything of interest? |
