Imho, the Generation difference is partly real ( different experience growing up ) and partly manipulative lies. Enlightened self interest is universal for Aware people, no matter the age. ( Aware, Not Woke )
Unfortunately IQ isn't a good indicator of belief in insane ideology, or that the Ladies of The View are honest and right about Everything. I know smart ladies who have been utterly convinced Hillary Never Lied, and refuse to watch the video of the Head of the FBI, Who screwed Hillary by announcing that while they had evidence of her crimes, refused to prosecute. ( 30,000+ counts of felony destruction of public documents that included classified information and evidence of corruption ) Angry at Comey for sabotaging her becoming Queen President! ( ignoring the part about evidence of crimes )
To be fair, there are some Conservative smart guys who contracted TDS and can ignore The Abraham Accords, and that Trump didn't do any of the tyrannical acts they love to accuse him of doing when he gets elected, again.
( I won't pick on the many who actually Want Trump to carpet bomb The Swamp. I'm a believer in Maxim 37, myself. )

I have an unfair advantage over a lot of people who don't have my Life Experience.
Because of my skin color? My rich upbringing?
Nope, especially since Mom made Kraft Dinner with the hot dog water to get the most protein out of her small budget, and that was good times when we had a few cut up hot dogs in the Mac & cheese. And growing up in Midwestern Dairy country, we had to knead the margarine and the yellow dye packet to get fake butter that didn't look like lard. And was cheaper than lard.
And sure, it's Racist, today, to teach your own kids to read before they went to Kindergarten, and my parents did that, & didn't blink an eye at taking me to the New Doctor in town who was a refugee from the terrorist Pakistan War. ( spent time in the Principal's office for fighting kids who called my Doctor's kids the N-word )
Nope. My unfair advantage is I rented a house with friends, & one used guilt, emotional blackmail, deliberate helplessness, constant victim complaints/excuses, to get his way.
And that prepares me to be utterly unsympathetic to similar manipulation. Switched my default setting from guilt to F#$% You.
Definitely means I'll never be a good counselor or shrink. 
But false claims of superior victimhood, like racist exploiters, ( Blacks are too oppressed to function in our society without rich white progressives guiding them. Ask any rich white progressives. ) Or ( true story ) "You're picking on me by using words I don't know!", are Both tells to me of manipulating mental illness.
Unfortunately not every crybaby helpless manipulator is a malicious adult-ish person. I don't tell actual Babies to go $%&# themselves, and have to double check my reaction to that kind of mind F@#$ to not upset the real victims of actual misfortune.
My default of "grow the @#$% up, & get out of my face." isn't useful in every situation.

Lest you think I'm jumping on the "I was raised a poor grey child" bandwagon of virtue signaling, like Kamala*, I had plenty of examples of poor kids in my school and community.
I didn't know we were struggling low middle class back then. It was only when applying for education grants for college that label got applied. Half the kids in school were obviously not as well off as we were, like my neighbor with one good pair of jeans to wear to school, Only! that his Mom washed in the sink every day.
While the Reservation in South Dakota was a stark contrast with small town life I had in Aberdeen, I'd been prepared for diversity by the River towns on the Missouri, where the founders were refugees from the Slave States and Kansas Terrorists, who'd escaped across The River to the free Territory, and the Old Guys on their porches still watched for Bad People coming up river with sheets and torches.
Alton Brown made a tv series of a group that rode motorcycles up The River, sampling food along the way. Towns that boomed on Fish dinner Fridays. |

Once upon a time, we thought mood rings were going to revolutionize human interaction by offering quick, non verbal, indicators of how others felt. Sure, the science was sketchy at best, but what an optimistic idea!
Today, I'm intensely grateful that we have a new concept in voluntary precise communication of mental state for Men trying to date.
Unfortunately, like every human thing, there's good and bad built into any new trend in communication. ( see "dopamine rush" addiction to short form videos. )
While most men will see the Blue Bracelet as a vital aid in avoiding effort wasted on seeking life partners who want to be mutually supportive and happy in life, that's not the only effect this voluntary signal will have.
The "players", men who enjoy promiscuity without commitment, sex without responsibility, the "use them and lose them" jerks that poison so many lives, are ecstatic about the easy tell for vulnerable girls with poor self esteem and over inflated egos and expectations. Guys that know to avoid self assured responsible women as hostile to their selfish lifestyle.
That gal who's Daddy taught them to shoot, and give respect as well as demand it? The players are terrified of them.
So the Blue Bracelet promises ease of choice in multiple ways, not all good. |

I lived in Hawaii for a while. It's beautiful for the most part. It's slums are just as bad as any on the mainland. Over all, it was so great, I moved back to California. Although, I do admit alcohol played a role in my discontent. |

My probably unpopular, and certainly not politically correct, opinion, is demanding pronoun obedience is a twisted product of a bad algebra word problem. Combine overinflated ego, deep insecurities, and the thin skin of a poorly raised college frat boy being teased that he's a chick, and modern antisocial media, you get the stupid rage of today's self marginalized.
That's the worst of the offenders, not the norm, I'm sure. See cliche, apples, barrel.
Feel free to disagree, I'm only picking on the "type" who obviously, have Issues, with affirming identity. Which gets a "grow a pair" reaction from me, which is very problematic considering the subject. Take that as funny, heartless, or both.
It's a complex subject and very important for many people.
Basically it's a philosophical question. My opinion is the very best you can ask for is for everyone to not care that you're different. For others to not put you in an imaginary box, not think of you as a category, just another person, hopefully a friend.
But Racist Theory demands exactly the opposite, and I reject that deliberate hatred completely. It's evil manipulation. |

1. The best thing you can hope for if you are different in any way from the Arbitrary and traditional normal, is Nobody Cares about your differences. That's a Win. Does not matter if you're a D&D gal or your skin color. Acceptance is a Win. Don't care IS Acceptance.
You want praise or affirmation? Do something good. Everyone wants praise. Earn it. If you're getting it for any reason than merit of your actions? It's fake and manipulation.
2. The moral descendants of the Confederacy Don't Care about Slavery. The Patriots Do. We are the moral descendants of the Americans that died to Stop it. And we're unhappy with the system that doesn't care about slavery Today, and Lie it's not happening.
It's real in N Africa and the Middle East. Real open slave markets & "employment services". It's real in Red China. It's real for women in Islamic countries.
Ask an Afghan girl.

I point out that any exception to a law may, or may not, be used for good purposes, or very badly...
On the one hand, many local law enforcement officers refused to enforce laws requiring escaped slaves to be sent back to their owners. ( While this has interesting parallels to the "Sanctuary" Proclamations of today, they mostly, but not entirely, exist in the minds of the self righteous. )
On the other hand, when the ATF lied to the military and used the War On Drugs to excuse using military forces in the massacre of the Waco Texas Branch Davidians, you have an example of really bad results.
On the gripping hand, fighting an invading army is pretty much the definition of what any country wants a military for.
The fact that the army was Invited by two Presidents, ( arguably one, but For sake of argument I'll pretend Joe* is "sharp" ) doesn't change the fact that an invasion is taking place. |
