And other than one occasion years ago here, where a newbie tried to hook up with like minded gay riders and was lambasted for it, never to be heard of again, the general impression I have is that "we" just don't talk about our sex lives in a family friendly forum. Or to put it rudely, EVERYONE here is in the closet in their private lives, and relationships are only mentioned in terms of, "My wife said..." or "My friend's Honda..." And that's been the Default position in post-Puritan America for centuries. Aka, normal reasonably polite conversation. So the responses to the openly gay talking head are informative, and his Dishonesty about the Trump campaign is too. Anderson's pretended confusion about the difference between "normal" and mentally ill people is, obviously, EITHER a dishonest partisan lie, or he's a closet monster. I have no opinion on which. It's obvious to anyone not brainwashed by the hate mongers, that Trump, a cosmopolitan New Yorker with deep involvement in the entertainment industry, is gay friendly and until he ran for President, a well liked figure funding New York theater and other civic boosting groups. Iirc, Bush the Younger was the first President to appoint an openly gay cabinet member. I wouldn't be surprised if Donald had too. But Anderson doesn't care about truth. Joe*, the kid sniffer, otoh, appointed not normal sex weirdos in very bragging publicity stunt mode. Well... It wouldn't surprise me if a number of single white males in California are in the closet for being straight, especially if they are conservative as well. As for me... I'm pretty obviously a straight white male lol. But, as you said about most here, I don't feel the need to go further than that.
