Basically it's gone from Boy's teams getting all the money, time in the limited gym resources, and make sure girl's teams and sports get a fair chance. Like any Government program, it's not perfect. There's been a lot of complaining from football fans, etc. who like their sports and don't care about the girly ones. That's died off over the years, but hasn't stopped. I'll point to the University of Nebraska, that is a Football Oriented school, to the point the Nebraskans brag that the Stadium during home games is the third largest city in the State. ( and they've added rows... allegedly to keep that brag/joke going ) But it also has a Women's Volleyball Team that has a 8000+ seat arena and is very popular. Athletic, fast paced, and entertaining. ( sure, I'm a dirty old man, been one since I was 20 ) And a Women's Rifle Team. Go Big Red! But there's this anti-woman movement, where guys want to use the girl's locker room and some old fogeys object. As do the girls. I do have sympathy for a guy who has chosen to try to live in a women's role, "identifies" as female, and under the Old Rules, can't participate in Women's Sports, because they aren't, really, and don't compete in Men's Sports, for whatever reason. Frankly they'd get horrible teasing and worse, even in the most rigidly controlled environment, unless they chose to not try to pass as a grrrl. I don't have to make that choice between personal sexuality and sports, so I can't comment on the inner struggle. I'm not COMPLETELY convinced that ALL the "Guys in Drag" that want to compete with women are jerks who want to take Women's scholarships, like to beat up women, or are failures in the Men's versions, or just perverts getting off on it. But some sure seem to be. ( Yeah, I'm picking on some Olympic boxers. hashtag dealwithit ) This is a separate issue from sexual preference and discrimination. Everyone won't agree, but my attitude is "if you behave yourself, I don't care if you're gay." Or straight. Or whatever, humans are complicated, like my Ex's Facebook Relationship Status. ( I wish her the best, since she's out of my life. ) And I have spent years participating in mixed sex martial arts, ( because there aren't enough women to have their own competition, and the ones that get good, have brass ovaries and earned respect ) But... we armor up and don't try to knock each other out. For full contact fighting, it's rather polite. If we had different rules, fought to submission rather that "that was a good hit", Far fewer Women would participate. Boxing isn't the same. | ||

The Constitution, as Barry Pointed out, correctly, ( perhaps his only true statement on the subject ) constrains the Government. It's to prevent tyranny. Free to praise, free to complain, free to offend. It works both ways. Tomorrow, absent the Constitution, if Senator Foghorn publicly insults me, or the group I'm associated with, in his mind, there's no reason why I shouldn't cut out his tongue and take my punishment, ( it would be assault & battery ) just to discourage others from insulting me & mine. Short form, and VERY simplified. Brazil had an election, with some disputing the result, as is normal in an imperfect world. The current Big Wig in their Court system is trying to take on Elon Musk, for refusing to censor the opinions of those the Big Wig doesn't like. I won't get into the politics, since to an American ( Norte, USA, and yeah it's ego to call ourselves American and ignore all the others on 2 continents, hashtag dealwithit ) it's obvious to the centrists who likes to censor Enemy Opinions, and the politics doesn't map exactly.
