 Selling my 2002 X1. I bought it in 2012 and don't think I've even put a 1000 miles on it. Original tank cover color was black, but it sort of had a greenish hue to it so for some reason I painted it a 3-stage pearl Ford color called Tangerine Scream...but hey, when you buy it you can paint it any color you like! $3900. Just thinning the herd... Things I added: -American Sport Bike air cleaner (yes, I noticed the missing cover bolt) -Buell-branded Supertrapp muffler -Ceramic coated headers =Pegasus seat -Seat fairing powder-coated black | ||

I dont think anyone here does and thats not a bad thing. Youngins are not buying these bikes. If I KNEW HOW to work on motorcycles and didnt have one I would. If NOT then you wont find the buyer here I rekon. | ||

That's a beautiful bike for not much money. I have been watching the used bike market a little, it seems that modern and vintage bikes are not selling very well. The vintage market has really slowed down from what I see. | ||

Buell junkie, Bringatrailer.com has a hugh following, with everything from super cars, classic cars, to Motorcycles, from old BMWs, to newer Ducati's. I have seen a few Buells, but they were either XBs or 1125s. The auction lasts for 7 days, there is a simple listing fee for the seller, and the buyer pays a percent of the final sale. Check them out, as they will come out to take pictures/ write up of your bike. I think your with the low mileage, and beautiful condtion should do well. | ||

Curious- has the bike been refreshed recently? like fluids, suspension, engine mounts, gaskets, battery etc? | ||

Hi Ish - I've never reached 3000 miles in a year (or even in two years) on this bike, but fluids get replaced every 2 years or less regardless of mileage. This is the case for all of my bikes filled with dino oil. Typically the oil is still honey-gold when I drain it. The rocker cover gaskets were replaced several years ago, engine mounts on this bike are the newer style but show no signs of needing attention, battery was new last year (Throttle-X). Forks have not been serviced mainly due to the low mileage, and I don't think I've seen any leakage...but it would prob be a good idea to get it done. | ||

I can tell you that the fork oil in these will hold up and the forks tend not to leak. In other words if I bought this I would not rush to change the fork oil. I would not even plan it. | ||

Welp...despite there being no Buells currently up for auction on their site, bringatrailer is not interested in my X1. There were a few 1125's, a Hammerhead, and couple XB's in the auction history, but I didn't see any tube frames that weren't the unicorn variety. I spent a couple hours putting a lot of detailed info in there, checking my records, receipts, etc...so a bit disappointing they weren't interested. I'd much prefer to sell here, but I think I need a bigger audience to sell this thing. Appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions.. | ||

Hey Buelljunkie, last week bring a trailer, finally listed a tube frame buell, and S2, and it is owned by someone on here as well. It closed today for $4500. Im in illinois as well, and if i had the room i would buy yours in a minute...but maybe you can recontact bring a trailer and see if they would list yours, now that they know the tube frame buells will bring in a little cash. Your bike is beautiful, as i had the same colors on my first s1. Just putting it out there. | ||
