Sad news. I got a call from Woz, one of the original three amigos (Mike Wozniak, Jack Van Post and Rex Chaney) who started American Sport Bike Night many years ago, that Rex was in hospice. He passed on to glory Saturday, August 10th. He is survived by his wife, Teresa and kids, grandkids, and a host of Moto Pals and Buellers.

I am working tonight and will post more appropriately later, but I wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible that might have known Rex.

Rex was a great person and a relentless Bueller. He was one of the good ones. I will miss him.

If you are near and can make the memorial, I'm sure Teresa Chaney (wife of Rex) would welcome you. Here is the flyer.

If you have memories of Rex or and story, post up.

Condolences. He posted tips and tricks for wrenching Buells? "In Buelling"? Was that him?

Ducxl,

I don't think Rex wsa active here the last few years. He was an original Bueller when they first broke out and started a club with two others that still lives. I'll be able to post some pics and anticdotes later tonight.

He was known for his Frankenstien M3, which was really just an M2 with an S3 fairing. He was a regular at ASBN's Death Valley runs and our volunteer work at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials. He was an announcer.

Known better in heaven than on earth.
