https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Krug er_effect The more I learn, the stupider I feel, because I see a tiny fraction of my ignorance. I'm sure I have totally wrong notions of how things work. Propaganda I bought and won't drop. Just for example... I have friends that are convinced 9/11 was controlled demolition, that beams were cut by shaped charges, and a bunch of other stuff, usually involving Jews and Bush. I watched the second plane hit live on tv. I sat through an entire multi hour long rant on the conspiracy, and every piece of evidence presented was solid proof the guy was wrong. Even the seismograph trace is utterly consistent with the description of a fire dropping a skyscraper from the Novel Towering Inferno. And, Osama bragged about it on video with his rich buddies. Sure, I could be completely wrong, and Bin Laden was a fool who was paid to take credit and they dropped him out of a helicopter because he had tattooed on his Butt "The CIA paid my to Lie". Could be. And the building next door that shared a basement with the twin towers was rigged, despite the previous bomb doing hidden damage and the biggest man made object that fell down on that basement cracked the bedrock, Granite. Could be. But I just can't buy that The Bush Regime, that couldn't keep any secrets, including that GWB just asked if we could stop Iran from sending terrorists and bombs into Iraq to murder Iraqis and Us, could keep this big a project secret. Obama, who has no record of existence that hasn't been sealed or erased or faked, maybe. Bush? HA! https://www.epsilontheory.com/gell-mann-amnesia/ This one I've been guilty of. |

https://nypost.com/2024/06/30/opinion/dear-elite-a pocalyptic-teeth-gnashers-the-end-of-the-world-is- just-a-matter-of-where-you-stand-2/ Next January as the Left gathers in heaving jobs to Storm the Capitol, to stop the election, I predict an Iranian nuke smuggled in on a Biden* Express Invited Invaders flight to ruin my hope of visiting the Smithsonian again. In other words, the exact opposite of what we are told, daily, by pathological liars in power. |

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/07/the -eternal-meaning-of-independence-day-2-10.php https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/07/the -eternal-meaning-of-independence-day-17.php Happy Independence Day. In post Medieval Europe, by the 18th century, the Feudal System had evolved into Nation States where it was Kingdoms and Empires of substantial size that were in the process of eating the smaller kingdoms and ruling them with central dynastic families. The King's eldest son "automatically" inherited the Kingdom. Why? Because he said so, and the system backed him up. Power was obtained and maintained by Force. To understand that, you have to go back to the underlying Feudal system where each village had a Lord, authorized by the King to dispense justice and collect taxes to keep things running. It's a Very Personal time. Names of the positions change with time and place, but we'll limit it to 3 tiers, knights in small villages passing the food and building supplies up the chain, in exchange for protection from bandits and other would be kings. Barons of larger towns, ditto and Kings on top, ruling multiple cities and villages. Wealth went up, Power and protection went down. If this sounds like a mob protection racket to you, you understand it right. Each village Knight had a few Squires, ( Knights in training, martial, administrative, etc. ) and Men at Arms, ( fit, training in martial arts, deputies ) who protected the village from outside bad guys, which constituted the reserves for the smaller Standing Army and who the King could call to War, in case another decided to commit, or resist Grand Theft Resources. Aka War. What's important to understand is the flow of power and resources. Obligations went both ways, the Knights were the local police, and tax collectors, and their authority came from above, they weren't just the local bully, their Job was to protect their village and in emergency could call on forces from the Baron above them in case of attack, natural disaster, etc. Ditto Baron to King was a two way street of obligations and responsibilities. Also, infrastructure, roads, canals, water supplies, were also enabled by the concentration of power and resources. City walls, forts, weren't the only big projects that needed more organization and resources than separate villages could muster. Historically this was the basis for the philosophy of governance we have today, in Western Civilization. Power and protection to preserve resources, which includes the People who do all the labor. A two way street, even if it's pretty biased for the rulers. Excuses and rationalization for keeping this system going get more elaborate as time passes and Kingdoms grew at the expense of their smaller neighbors. Sorta peaking with, for example, the King insisting he was given power by God. ( instead of the truth that his family was the most ruthless and successful bandits for generations. ) The Magna Carta was forced by the Barons and turned the English Royal Feudal system into a more distributed power pyramid, and was the distant basis for Our founding. The Barons basically were upset the King wasn't doing his job of supporting them and wanted to directly rule their stuff. (That's not even that oversimplified ) The Parliamentary system of representative government under an Executive came later, from that. Our founding Fathers were well educated men in the American colonies ruled by the Kingdom over the Sea. They weren't given the protection and representation promised by the System. Some of the Loyalists/Tories/Royalists might have hoped to get Baronies from the hand of the king but the guys like Adams and Jefferson were upset that they had no voice in Parliament. No way to argue against taxes and for infrastructure development. The 2 way street had broken down and the result is history. |

https://calmatters.org/politics/capitol/2024/07/fi reworks-california-july-fourth/ My initial reaction rhymes with an army backpack and a vowel, but I live in a State with restrictive laws that many ignore without the risk of huge brush fires. Cross the border, and fireworks are for sale at the first exit. And second, third, etc. So I'm going to keep my rebellious libertarian leaning attitude, but ask Californians to only set off illegal fireworks near the Governor's and Legislator's properties. Places where wait times for emergency services are far shorter than where you live. |

https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kruiser/2024/07/04/ind ependence-day-musings-sorry-lefties-were-not-fring y-you-are-n4930357 England just voted in a Labour Party that's apparently pretending really hard to be Less Left than they were last year because the Conservative Party was too Left and not Conservative enough. Like here the Hard Right is a few guys in a pub bitching about imaginary good old days, and not a measurable political entity, no matter what the room temperature IQ Party Media says. From across the pond, it looks like the Conservatives just didn't honor their promises to stop the invasion and wrecking of their society. Too scared of the rising Muslim thugs now winning elections. And unlike the Watermelon cult gluing themselves to the street, the Islamist Invasion is blocking roads with mass prayer meetings, and the police have to protect everyone else from interfering and getting killed. This is a Power Play, not a temper tantrum. |

It's not that Republicans will vote Democrat, ( Conservatives vote Labour in the U.K. ) it's they won't vote. Not for liars. While the Left will vote for liars. Early, often, in multiple places. |

Yes it is humor. It is absolutely humor. No way the government would cover up or participate in such an event. I absolutely believe that to the true. I also do not want my house burned down or be framed for kiddie porn. |

See, Tp? THIS is a great troll. https://indamidle.substack.com/p/quit-being-a-lose r Sure, the so called men who cosplay the Pro-rape Hamas and envy/love pro-genocide to power Putin, and call everyone Nazis Think they're attracting a mate. Plumage is important, and that dancing ( actually it's a selfie on a bridge built by manly Capitalists ) sure does get the psycho chicks for the one night stand and lifetime child support payments. One sign that I'm not any Gen with a label is in my photo album, the older ones with physical, chemical, pictures. Folk I knew at Mt. Rushmore. That red car I owned. My motorcycle at the overlook in the mountains. My canoe before & after I restored it. My fiance. My SO at the overlook in the mountains. My glider. The View from a mile up over Beaver Stadium from my glider. The people at the overlook in the mountains from above and over the valley. A restored or built from a bare frame bicycle on a railroad bridge miles from any road. My van on a seasonal road with a glider on top that no one besides jeepers have seen since the Great Depression when it was built to fight fires. My SO in glider harness smiling at me on top of a mountain. The View from the top of a cliff with no road to the top. My van on the highway 5 miles away and 2700 feet down. A picture my buddy's wife gave me as we got air over a speedboat wake in a canoe pulled by a kite. Pictures of repairs to a canoe. My Buell on a gravel road in a wind farm, next to my buddy and his restored '79 superbike. What's missing? Selfies. Don't know how to take them and it never occurred to me to. |

Crusty! You know #8 is solved in Canada! If you're a vet, depressed because their health care won't treat them or fulfil the government promises, assisted suicide is fast and effective at ending complaints! True, that part of Obamacare is only active in the Pacific Northwest here, but these things take time. |

https://medium.com/the-savanna-post/liberal-woman- complains-that-its-hard-to-find-masculine-men-who- aren-t-conservative-40803adf8da0 Yeah, Progressive wimps are simps at best. So unsatisfying. No real person, much less a Real Woman, wants simpering bottoms begging to be abused. Ok, sure, Dominatrix types, but that's their kink, and you go girl! It's quite profitable too! But they wouldn't Marry a simp. And there's a limited number of Women with the Dom kink who really enjoy it. Blame the popularity of Romance novels and 50 shades of grey fantasy. And the problem is far worse for the Women today than the lady above said. Fewer Men are willing to risk getting accused of unwanted attention. And far too many women won't even talk to a Man who hasn't drunk the Progressive Kool-Aid and Orwell brainwashed himself out of sanity. Aka they freak out if he doesn't chime right in with Hate Trump! That Venn diagram of honest guys who will treat a woman well and have self respect, and work hard for his family, and be Progressive has a tiny intersection. If any. I'm not even addressing the Anti-Semitic Pro-rape, Pro-slavery Useful Idiots who haven't caught on to the horror show that awaits them in their Sharia future. RTFM! Just Western Women and Western Men. Incompatibility indexing each other. Ironically, the Perfect Man is out there. But he's meeting his Perfect Woman at church or his martial arts group, and that great third date might be a trip to the Range to punch targets or bust clays. Dinner and coffee to follow. You want a Real Man? Sign up for Sporting Clays class. Martial arts classes. Motorcycle riding school. And leave politics under your bathroom sink next to the cleaning and hygiene products. You'll be Amazed. |
