The last time I ran a CNC I first had to learn the code. Write the program. Type the program onto a tape. Feed the tape into the CNC. Hit the start button. Cover the Estop because you really don't know where the hell it's going!! |

Amazing that they can make something so intricate from a chunk of bar stock. I'm amazed at the old way of carving wooden patterns, planning the pattern and core sections, casting it, then machining it with manual machines. I saw an old video of casting Ford Model A blocks with water cooling passages, the valve chamber, etc. and how they conceived the core supports and such is hard to comprehend. |
