Notice the illogic. Criminals on, say, Bulldozers, are killing & robbing people, so... "We Must Ban Bulldozers!". Almost all those criminals wear shoes. so... I do get that it's illegally operated motor vehicles on the street, and considered a problem just from the annoy the old ladies aspects. The Libertarian in me resents the imposition of busy body authority. The pragmatist gets that it's a traffic and safety hazard in a busy city. Cheap, easy to steal, scooters are sure to attract the Invited Invader Criminal subgroup, as well as Domestic criminals. The background is the worst part. Carry a sign that says "Murder is A Sin" with the Bible verse location and I'd be arrested and charged with being Worse Than Hitler, if I was in the wrong time and place. While a criminal freed from prison in Honduras and sent North, ( just for example ) to hurt America and save money, can ride his stolen scooter with a machete, hacking women to steal purses, and get freed from jail with no bail, and given a bus ticket to another city.
