I was able to look straight at the Sun with no special glasses. I took a picture as well. Bummer it was cloudy for you Patrick! My view was unobstructed and pretty spectacular I have to say. I was right smack in the center of the path. My friend out in CA, said they couldn't see shit, so I have to count myself as lucky to have witnessed it.
