Hey all, thought I'd revive this post to see if anyone's interested in acquiring a Defender. Pics show no turn signals, but originals are back on. Filter and fluids recently changed, primary chain adjusted/new primary gasket. Runs great. |

If you have a set of narrow lids for the bags I'll buy them. I love my 95' S2, it is such a sexy bike. I've owned many S3's, but the S2 melts my heart |

Morning folks...sorry it's been a few days, lots of projects going on 'round the house.
FVB-Yes, I'm still near-ish to Chicago. I just moved about 9 miles. I'm about an hour SW of Chgo now.
Bsa-the lids I have for the Defender are the stock narrow version, but they will go with the bike when it sells....however the Defender is an S3(T) not an S2.

Hey all....it's been 4 years since I originally posted this Defender. I would really like it to go to a Buell enthusiast. Last price I had on it was $2700....can it really be there is noone interested? Can it be?? |

Damn, I can't believe it hasn't sold.
But then...I still haven't rebuilt mine, either. The bike is in one corner of my shop; the replacement front head, and front fairing spider, are in my parts stash; the bodywork is at the other end of the shop, my new decals (thanks, Brankin!!) are stored safely in the house (climate control)....I'll get working on it soon enough. Probably.
Don't get me wrong - I'd be a player on yours in a heartbeat...if I didn't already have one sitting in a corner (and another corner...and a parts pile...). |

Man I would LOVE to have this bike but cash is low and garage is full of bikes. Wife says I need to subtract one before I can add one.

Yep, Joe...life is full of good intentions and unfinished projects. That whole 'work' thing just never stops getting in the way of all the things you want to do, does it...
And Jim - I gotta tell ya....looking at your profile pic, I'm torn between "Man, that's really funny!", and "How dimented IS a guy who looks at a nice derriere like that and sees a dude?" Pretty dang clever tho. Every time I see it, I laugh...so yep, I'll stick with "Man, that's really funny!"

Dean - I only posted the bike for sale here on BWB, but I can't seem to find the post where the buyer and I originally connected. It may have been a referral from another Badwebber. He is definitely a Buell enthusiast, at least that's what he claims. I gave him a set of updated rear isolators, and he said he's replaced 8 or 10 sets of them...tho I don't know if they were his own bikes or not. He told me he was in touch with Brankin about the decals and said he had ordered them...so it seems he's in gear to do some form of restoration. Hopefully she went to a good home...but you never really know when you sell to a stranger. At least it's not a puppy! |
