I have read that the Blast head is similar to the Lightning heads, anyone know how similar? Could a Blast head be used to replace the front head on a 97 S1? Trying to help someone get theirs back on the road after being parked due to a busted head. |

Never compared side by side , but seeing pictures they are more looking like the XB heads to me! |

Isn't it possible to have the original S1 head welded and machined to re-use? |

Possibly,but Blast heads can be gotten cheap if it was a direct replacement. |

NOT an expert, but I believe the motor mount spacing and/or threads are different. Sleeves or drilling can solve the size issue, but the spacing, (if true), is another matter. |
