So, sure, Obama's Party may indeed dump Joe* into forced retirement in exchange for a pardon and keeping his ill gotten gains. But I'm not buying the optimism of the pundits. Who, I point out, were absolutely convinced that Trump, the most successful President in recent history, would beat Joe*, a well known lying idiot, ( "Don't underestimate Joe's* ability to f things up" Barack Obama ) who was hidden in his basement when his meds quit working. And predicted that the obvious and blatant vote fraud would be proven in court. ( not even looked at until after the coup ) And a bunch more wrong predictions. | ||

Some, like many people and "regular" religions, have chosen their church based on first contact. What church their parents took them to/ first college course exposed to.. Others suffer a crisis of faith and switch to one that makes more sense to them, and then stick, stubbornly to their choice. A few dance between churches in endless search for enlightenment. Religiously, I'm a square dance* guy. I've looked at several in some depth, glanced at a few I thought not worth further study, and left the dance with the one I chose. I might go back to the dance hall again, but I'm pretty settled down. *or reel, or Morris... Is the above economic opinion correct? I dunno, but the statement of facts behind the reasoning is factually true and the reasoning seems based on "when x happened before, Y took place most of the time" which isn't bad logic when dealing with lots of humans. The scientific method has problems on macro scales, when the individual units aren't identical like isotopes, ( assuming we still think that ) but are thinking probability collapsing varied unique items. That's why there are so many cliches like "the exception that proves the rule" and other logical twisty sayings. Economists have complex systems to study that don't follow the rules at different scales. How can you Predict fads? Famous craziness like the Tulip bubble, pogs, beenie babies, tramp stamps? Just to pick one... Historians next century will be mystified by the fad to get a tattoo in a specific location that can't be seen without a mirror by it's bearer, but is intended to be seen during specific sexual positions by the sexual partner, and when shown in public, is an invitation, recruitment for sexual partnerships. If future "social scientists" are like today's , that assign rationalizations based on their own cultural biases? Archeologist might impose a religious meaning. Sociologist a political meaning. The interpretation will be hilarious. And the fad to use a foreign pictographic language symbol ( like kanji ) in a language unknown to the bearer, and often the tattoo artists, "it's a symbol of Peace" based on antisocial media input, is going to confuse the heck out of any rational person. "Why did "soup" in Korean get tattooed on the back of the President of Yale University?" Consider that when reading interpretation of past events. In this case, the basic logic of spending money you don't have wrecking your economy is fairly well known, and the people responsible are either ignorant ( shouldn't be ) stupid ( well, maybe ) or deliberately greedy evil jerks. I vote for the same person in a third Party row. ( unless the person is Only in one row ) Why? Because unless a Party gets a minimum percentage of votes, it gets removed from the ballot. Fall below a cut off number, and no Conservative, or Working Families, or Communist Party choices. It's SOP in a 2 Party system to suppress the alternative choices. Unpleasant, but normal. And I want those choices. Partly to have a chance at getting somebody not Of The Body a job in the hope they buck the Will Of Landru, but mostly to have a choice that might "steal" votes from the Machine. This strategy can result in my choice losing, of course. If the Third Party candidate "dilutes" the majority. Can screw either Rs or Ds, it works both ways. And the multiple Party systems in other countries often produces unstable governments that have the leaders scrambling for allies to keep in power. But there's no danger of that here, the Establishment is far too monolithic. ( one big rock ) So being pro choice in politics has it's potential risks, but the alternative is worse. It's not like knowing some other guy who's name he probably never stored in memory is running things would change anything. And by now, everyone knows you don't want to get Joe* riled up, he'll yell at and maybe try to beat up, anyone who tells him anything that upsets him. And Barack seems to have everything running just like he wants it, except the New Hampshire Party leaders who keep insisting they will follow the law in their State and in punishment won't get the illusion that they matter allowed on TV. |
