I can say the on ramp/road exits setup on the Canadian side is a bit twisty and was crammed into a small area when the bridge was built, because it crosses into a business/residential part of the city much older than the bridge. It Can be confusing and tourists often slam on their brakes and try panicked lane changes in a curving, 3D, tight, interchange. Lanes to surface streets, the expressway, and the bridge. Once you're on the bridge, an International Border, you can't turn around until after you cross customs, unless you get sent back by customs and they give you a "shame ticket" to present the return Customs folk to prove you haven't left Canada or the U.S. I can say from Experience you don't want that. I was with a friend and his GF on a day trip to the Falls, but she forgot her ID. So Canadian Customs refused entry, and issued us the paperwork to return stating we hadn't been allowed in Canada so we wouldn't be trapped on the bridge for eternity. American Customs wasn't pleased she had no ID either, "searched" his ElCamino to pieces, and took her aside to be interrogated and to be sure we weren't kidnapping or trafficking her. When she was released, spitting mad, I took over personal interaction with officialdom while he reassured/got yelled at/cried on & reassembly of the interior. I thanked the Customs crew for their diligent protection of women and cursed them for taking our car apart and not letting us use their tools. They considered it a lesson and punishment for being stupid. ( which might be fair in one sense, but dang. ) Bless Swiss Army knives. | ||

But the reporter they cover here both states, then partly refutes the "liberals are smarter because more liberals go to Yale" bull crud. Yale is an inbred antisemitic cesspool of hatred which will wreck you unless you're a willing drone for that. Also you need rich parents or mysterious benefactors ( like Obama's ) to afford it. Even if I had the money back then, I wouldn't have chosen Yale or Harvard, unless it was for my senior year in Law, ( a very common dodge to get a Harvard Law Degree for the money making aspects, and possible because of the high attrition rate. See also, Obama ) because it's a hostile environment for actual free thinkers. Conform or die. Too often literally, seeing the suicide rate. Good point on the fact that being young and conservative is odd, smart, young, and conservative weirder, and smart, young, and Ivy league conservative downright oddball. Personally I've been called/considered conservative by the Lefty Loons but even in college I was rational left/libertarian moving centrist/libertarian as life and reality forced me to get a job and pay for it. Most of the B-32s were flown straight from the factory to surplus/storage and then looted for parts for the B-29 fleet. The ones that made it to the Pacific had just a few months service before the Surrender saved millions of lives and they got scrapped over there. The B-32 was the backup in case the B-29 was a failure. Most of the Superfortress problems were engine related, ( only at the end of the war were the big Wrights even close to reliable ) but it had issues of it's own, really pushing state of the art. Lots of early models crashed in testing, and in combat FAR more from overheating engines and fires from fuel and oil leaks ( external lines and hundreds of fittings ) than were shot down. There's a whole book worth of the R-3350 disaster, but the Boeing nacelle cooling system deserves criticism too. Close flaps for low drag on a hot engine, overheat. Open flaps, drag goes up, throttle forward to compensate, overheat. Also run out of gas! Long climb to altitude, high power and load... The B-32 was slower to get produced and the Army kept cutting features like remote turrets to avoid having 2 temperamental heavy bombers, and Consolidated was churning out B-24s ( as was Ford ) and PBMs at full capacity, so the Dominator was the too late for the party forgotten plane of Bomber force. Also same temperamental engine in priority demand for B-29s. Eventually the R-3350 got fixed, Also used successfully in the AD-1/A-1 Skyraider. | ||

Thank you..., and that's terrifying.  I just post what looks interesting or funny or relevant. Or some combo. We seem to be pretty Conservative here & I consider myself an olde school Liberal. I complain the Lying Left stole the word, as camo, then after Rush made it an insult, switched to Progressive. Which sounds great, since who doesn't want to be on the side of progress? But they're Regressive, wanting authoritarian regimes and no individual freedoms. Lying Left. So libertarian? I don't find the Party realistic but if you need a label, there's worse fits. And I've noticed cons & libs ( not Leftists ) both have senses of humor and are willing to argue for their beliefs. Leftists go on autopilot to insult because they can't. Zero Hedge is Clickbait central and tends apocalyptic to sell investment stuff and disaster food. But there's a few gems in there, if you have the patience to shovel through the feces. And weirdly, 9gag, the Hong Kong rebel meme site, has some often short lived video clips that are really real posts from the front lines of freedom fighting. Ukraine, China, Europe, Baltimore... Trustworthy? Heck no! But often real and censored hard, unavailable on regular feeds. But... It's Eurocentric. Probably a ploy to reduce the number of server hops to keep going under CCP censorship. And golly darn the Europeans can be racist jerks! They didn't have our race based slavery problem the Brits set up here, or the Civil War, or our Civil Rights movement. But they've had leftist idiots running immigration since WW2. Pre- Obama's Wars flooding Europe with Muslim invaders, both France and Germany were stupid enough to import workers to compensate for a low birth rate, without trying to assimilate the foreigners into their culture, and the Turks in Germany and North Africans in France, naturally feel disappointed/betrayed to be not accepted or treated as equals. ( much like upper income leftists here consider Latinos as Servant Class ) And since Barry the Taqiyya regime started the Muslim Brotherhood sects conquests across the Mediterranean, millions of military age males rejected from their homelands as scum, hid among the actual humanitarian refugees, & have flooded Europe in violent intolerance.
