No, the Law of the Prophet applies, and theft of a government official is a sin everywhere for thousands of years. Stealing charity money, ditto. Murdering your political rival is against the Law of the Prophet as well as Roman law. Those are the laws the Hamas and PLA thieves break daily. Roman law was imposed over 2000 years ago, and the Prophet 1200 odd... I'm not too fond of a LOT of the laws of the Prophet, but he's not my prophet and I feel free to disobey foreign gods. | ||

Blame the.... And it's so bad that so called educators declare that reading to your children is Racist! You can't ask for a simpler indicator that a person is evil and racist and dishonest. Full disclosure, I was raised in a house where everyone read. Books, newspapers, magazines, textbooks used to check what was just read in the papers, magazines about interests... And my clever parents made me read to my kid sister. "Aw, I don't want to watch her! I wanna play or read, and she's too small to play anything fun!" So they told me to read to her. Mom was used to teachers complaining about her unruly get. My sister read everything in Kindergarten in 3 months and was demanding more. ( later she complained it wasn't fair to follow me through a school system... ) | ||

Re: TWA flight 800. I have no opinion. I did speculate that the extremely statistically unlikely possibility of a meteorite strike could be the cause. Unlikely doesn't mean impossible, and 2 people, in 1954 & This Year were hit by meteorites, ( both women, and sitting down. Make your own misogynist jokes  . ) I figure it has to happen eventually. I never bought, or utterly rejected, the Navy missile speculation. I haven't seen proof but I also don't have unrealistic faith that guided missiles never hit the wrong target and never accidentally fire. I also remember one incident from the late 1950's where China and the United States Navy had a period of saber rattling off the coast of China, where planes flew on either side of an invisible line and prepared to fight. The U.S. Navy was very confident as they had the greatest new airplane, ( F8U Crusader, and it was great ) and the greatest new missile, ( Aim-9 Sidewinder, and it was great ) fortunately tensions eased and war was averted. Soon after the Navy gave a demonstration of power with ships and aircraft to impress our allies. Included was a live fire demo with a drone target. Everything went well, until the pilot pushed the button, and the brand new missile simply fell off it's rack into the sea. Twice. Turns out the Sidewinders had been shipped to the Pacific fleet with the rocket motor unplugged from the electronics, to prevent accidental firing in shipment. ( which would have blown up the cargo plane or ship ) But there wasn't anything in the manual about that, and the techs on the Carriers weren't allowed to curiously disassemble the New missiles, they were too few and too secret to open up just to look inside. THAT caused a big conspiracy cover up to ease embarrassment for the Navy & Government, that lasted over 40 years. ( and still is not in history books but did make it into a historical novel after it leaked ) Most conspiracies are cover ups. Some really happened. I'd say Most didn't, but I'm in 2023 where it appears I may be wrong. | ||

Which is another core value. But I also have to choose when not to say the truth. For me, that's hard. For example, I have a relative who's roommate is between jobs. I have to remember not to point out that tattoos on the face and breasts up to the neck might be a reason they have a hard time getting a job. I get that my attitude is old fashioned and conservative, I even freely admit I'm a needle phobe and an too cowardly to get tattooed. But I've also seen my whole life that us freaks have to pass in society to pay the bills. I've had friends unemployed in part because they refused to get a haircut. Principles? I always considered the pre-interview haircut as SOP, and then after getting hired, grew it as I wanted. I don't have a stylish pony tail down my back today because I'm lazy and long hair is work, plus now I'd just look like an aging rock star. And not the handsome lead singer.  | ||

There's a saying from "those people" to the effect Capitalists will sell "those people" the rope they use you hang them. Those people have been taught and teach your kids, to hate you. Not just humans of one faith, although the folk who escaped slavery in Egypt do have a long history of being murdered for their faith, and the followers of the son of a Israeli carpenter have been victimized a lot these last few thousand years, but "those people" really are utterly intolerant of any faith other than their own. I use "those people" because they keep changing their name to lie about what they are. And while intolerant of others, they really have a hard time explaining their own beliefs, since their beliefs are wrapped in lies and deliberate envy. A core of adolescent "It's not Fair!" and the lies of evil adults exploiting that, don't make for a coherent or convincing ideology if it's honest. In contrast... To be deliberately rude and blasphemous for some, many good faiths can be distilled down to "There's a cosmic entity beyond our comprehension. We've got this set of ideals and ways to get along with each other that prophets told us this incomprehensible bigger thing wants us to do." And then the shamans and priests tell stories, some real, some imagined, that are examples of why these ideas on how to treat each other are good & bad. I've noticed "those people" don't have any true stories. | ||

When the tribal conflicts older than the Ottoman Empire got further divided by loyalty to Britain or Italian Fascists then Nazis and collaboration French F@#$. which is why the Bad Guys from the Atlantic to the Indian Oceans are from tribes that still proudly display Swastika flags at Grandpa's house. The proper path would be that all Government workers Especially elected politicians, should be required to send their kids to inner city public schools, so there's Incentive to make them excellent examples of education and equality of opportunity.
