https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/esse ntial-timeline-understanding-evolution-homo-sapien s-180976807/ Interesting theory about small groups of humans (not homo sapiens, but nearly) crossing paths, interbreeding, and becoming homo sapiens. |

https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/09/publicity-st unt-house-republicans-open-probe-into-energy-sec-g ranholms-ev-road-trip/ According to Google Maps, the 4 day Government Stunt trip takes 2 days and 13 hours on an acoustic bicycle. Or 9 hours by automobile. And I would use less gasoline on my Cyclone and take 12 hours, including buffet dinner and cigarette breaks, than Secretary of Energy 's stunt with all their gasoline powered cars illegally keeping charging spots reserved for the Royalty. ( and screw you peasants ) So I'm 4 times as fast, less pollution, less energy, and far less arrogant and elitist than the Department of Energy stunt. |

They are not very bright. Everyone knows public chargers are usually broken, unavailable, and slow. She chose the wrong car for her stunt. |

I read articles all the time from car magazines long term tests ( months to a year ) of various E-cars. Most have some complaints about charging stations being closed, and the proprietary plug issues. But I get the context, just look a century ago and it's similar finding drug stores with cans of gasoline. ( yep, drug stores had gasoline in cans shipped in by horse and wagon, long before there were pumps and service stations everywhere to fix & fuel the primitive cars of the day ) Cross country driving was an Adventure of dirt and mud roads and scarce fuel stops. And the Model T didn't have entertainment screens. Solitaire was played with rectangles of stiff paper! I just saw an ad for a Hydrogen car with multiple modules above the rear bumper you can easy swap to refuel. Reminded me of the ship refuel scene in The Fifth Element. Ignoring the lie that Hydrogen is "a fuel", when it's really an energy storage & transport system of low efficiency and moderately high hazard. My complaint is the nifty mockup is insanely bad in a crash. Hindenburg Pinto! The multiple fancy cans in the ad are just so stupid in placement it has to be a scam. Toyota, that already has available Hydrogen cars you can refill at a pumping station fairly quickly and easy enough for not-idiots. Is working on a small can module design, but I doubt that they will put the cans in the crush zone on cars. https://hackaday.com/2022/08/02/toyotas-cartridge- helps-make-hydrogen-portable/ |

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2023/10/fre nch-want-to-ban-tourism.php Insert joke here about using all 4 lifetime flights to ship the quartered body of the So called scientist who wants this to the "corners of the Earth". Meanwhile the head can just be thrown in the famous Paris sewers. A back of the napkin calculation shows the smoke from burning the Stop Oil protesters would stop global warming immediately. I'm sure they'll volunteer. |

I'm joking of course. You'd need to sun dry them to remove the water before burning which violates health codes in most countries! |

Or considered that, possibly, "greenhouse gases" are here for a REASON? Fact is, we are still COOLER planet-wide, than it was when the Roman Empire ruled the earth. Whatever is happening to the "climate"...ain't our doing. It's a CYCLE. |

https://www.city-journal.org/article/the-real-war- on-science Kindling & logs? Sure, best gathered in forest fire zones to reduce fuel load. A long practice of Native Americans that's forbidden by Greenie rules. If you noticed all Leftist policies increase poverty, suffering, and death, you are correct. That's deliberate, and also the automatic effect of basing their beliefs on lies. |

https://nypost.com/2023/10/03/what-is-google-hidin g-in-its-unprecedentedly-secret-antitrust-trial/ We live in a cyberpunk dystopia without the good parts. No VR in Ready Player One mode, information censored by the Megacorps, Total access to your data sold to other Megacorps, and the most murderous government. You live in Rwanda or Dallas? Search "Tiananmen Square massacre" gets a red flag on your file in Beijing. ( and the underground fortress where the CCP Party Elite will live out the Covid-24 plague ) Oh, in Dallas, you just get your algorithms changed to feed you selected Agitprop and a note in your FBI file. But if you're Chinese, the police get your family brought in to interrogate, and possibly disappeared. A Chinese in Dallas, or Rwanda? You get a call from the police who have your father waiting at the station to beg you to come home. Or else. And that's normal for Google & Facebook. Every company in China has open files that copy the secret police and Social Score app. Personally, I feel obligated to say out loud every day Tiananmen Square massacre, just to burn more Australian coal in Chinese power plants to store more bytes in my file. |

https://phys.org/news/2023-10-extinct-fish-alive-d na-analyses.html I'm not sure I agree & would like more information about the subject. It's the definition of same species that I question. It's a good example of how Science is never Settled. I understand that they are changing the definitions and categories to match genetic data, a technique impossible before, just as the microscope changed labels and categories when it became a new tool in many hands. On a related note, I've recently seen a few articles and videos on Gravity. Time create gravity? Movement in time create gravity? Space-time creates gravity? Gravity is not a force? Mass affects time? ( relativity! ) I'm far too familiar with gravity effects. That bruised hip is taking more than a week to fade. I watched kiteboarding fail video! And I'm still confused on the subjects of gravitons and waves, They have had gravity wave sensors for a while now. But we might be misinterpreting the data they give us. I'm not going to be certain about exactly how gravity works until we make something that you can flip a switch and make some. And get an explanation that only makes me want to hit the Edibles store for CBD to ease the headache. And it won't surprise me if the explanation changes as we learn how reality works better. I freely admit I can get the first half of the explanation but then I short out on the nature of time. Guess I better try the gummies? |

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/megan-fox/20 23/10/15/founding-father-of-child-abuse-pediatrics -calls-johns-hopkins-all-childrens-defendants-cons pirators-in-unlawful-acts-n1735266 They meant well when they created a new specialist field in medicine. According to the doctor that invented it, they chose to be dramatic with the title and didn't insist on any relevant and comprehensive training. Which might only hurt a few patients if the New Specialty was earwax analysis. As someone who has experienced nerve caused pain, I quote my doctor who told me without gabapentin ( which he then prescribed for me ) he'd be suicidal because of severe, chronic, pain. ( the drug worked for me while I did physical therapy and then I no longer needed it. Actually a rare thing. ) Some of medicine is Hard Science. Chemistry and physiology. Surgery to screw broken bones together. Etc. Not necessarily Exact Science, but an evolving discipline where over centuries, they learned which steel alloys didn't react with the patient and were safe to use for those screws. And where the screws didn't work best. ( just for example ) Then there's the Soft Sciences of human interaction. Lot more opinions and "my teacher said" and lots less actually reality physics based analysis of treatment. People are complex and they don't always tell the truth, especially to themselves. Detecting child abuse is beyond Soft and into intuition and bureaucratic list making ( to substitute for expertise and intuition ) with horrible consequences for errors. |

https://9gag.com/gag/avQVjgZ Delivery robots. One of the disappointments of my life is so much of the promises I was told about the 21st Century just are never going to happen. Almost worse, is I understand why. Hovercraft. Don't have brakes. Makes them a fun toy, even great vehicle, for open spaces, but utterly impractical in traffic. Flying cars. People can't drive on roads. There'd be Buicks crashing everywhere and teens with fart cans on their cars buzzing people. No way any city will let a typical driver fly down town. The FAA won't let ME fly an ultralight over a city, an experienced pilot. And I don't blame them, I actually helped write that rule. Delivery Robots. See video.... |
