Plus, seldom mentioned, but central to the issue, corruption is when you give preference in contracts or grants or outright gifts from the State/Kingdom/Government, NOT from your own resources, to pay back a bribe. ( traditionally giving the briber land claimed by the nation are the most famous cases ) So if Joe* had given a contract to put gold toilets in his own mansion to a plumber who bribed him with tickets to Olympic women's volleyball, and paid for the contract out of his own pocket, that's not corruption by an official of government as we think it. Usually, when I think of corruption, I remember that Lockheed and Grumman were both trying to sell supersonic fighters to West Germany. Grumman didn't bribe the German officials, Lockheed did, and got the sale. The case where Joe* Actually Blackmailed Ukraine to fire a prosecutor looking at the company that bribed Joe*, and BRAGGED about it, is definitely corruption by any standard used in the last couple of centuries. | ||

Pundit ( don't recall which one ) opines that with nobody, including the D Party leaders wants Kamala* to be on the ticket, but as the Arbiter Of PC, The View, explodes at the thought of replacing her, ( Or Joe* will not get the blind Black Woman Vote ) the Klan Party has A Problem. The obvious solution ( per pundit ) is to Offer Kamala either a Supreme Court Seat, ( bless her heart ) or a 10+ million buck book deal or the alternative not worth mentioning, and pick Michelle Obama to be the new Veep, so she can take over as pResident in a few months after Joe* pardons his family, himself, and his business associates around the world, and retires medically. They might even tell Joe*. Not my idea of a great idea, but I'm an unrepentant counterrevolutionary and not fond of the Obama policies.
