Aesquire, I don't comment on politics publicly much. I have learned mine differ greatly from 90% of my neighbors, and don't want to be "that MAGA guy". I am not, but we know how the opposite side does that to anyone who disagrees with what CNN told them. You know what happens when you argue with idiots. Just wanted to thank you for your work on this and other threads. Your links are an important part of my day. That tablet article was very interesting. I make no moral judgment based on this obviously and openly admitted biased article. But I can't help but look for Unintended Consequences since those are the things that can wreck anything. In this case, I can predict that IF this becomes a common political fundraising technique, that the hotter, fitter, politicians will make more money. That's easy, and heck, at least the politicians who are telling us insane lies will at least be nicer to look at on tv with the sound off. You might even have favorites based on your particular taste and kink. But... A push towards physical beauty in a money/politics world may mean my diabetes medicine becomes even harder and more expensive to get, as Thin is still In despite efforts to normalize obesity. I don't think this fundraising effort will trend, but... | ||

I've discovered that because I read faster than most, I get entire articles read ( often, but not always ) before the paywall shuts it down in formerly free "news articles". I apologize for posting chopped off article links! I hadn't realized that they were inaccessible to most who don't want to pay. And I completely understand not wanting to further enrich evil monsters like Bezos! And I have noticed, too, that some sites, like The New York Post, require bailing out to escape! Just clicking back doesn't work to return to the referring website! And most ironically! The most honest websites, with better coverage of a story, like The Epoch Times, articles are the ones too long for even me to skim in entirety before the paywall portcullis slams down to stop the reader and offer to sell you news! ( I do find that a bigger screen allows faster reading since I get more print per click. See also Renshaw Technique, and page at a glance. References in Science thread ) | ||
