And Ringo consulted with doctors and bioengineering experts to get the details at least scientifically possible. ( first 6 novels released BEFORE 2019, BTW ) And one of the scientific details is the virus causes the victims to get insanely itchy and rip their clothes off just before they lose human intelligence and start trying to eat everyone. ( see last Month's Pride festivities ) Screaming cannibal naked Karens smashing windows and doors with no regard for pain or injury. ( see oil protesters ) I won't get into Why they strip, it makes perfect sense, but my hanging out with EMTs and first responders has desensitized me to gruesome details not suitable for a family site. Mauser actually was awarded $200,000 for the royalty infringement, or about 8 million equiv. today's money. A bit late, but everyone was happy... until DWM, who had the patent on Spitzer ( Pointy, in German ) bullets sued, and in 1914, the U.S. told them to stuff it, they had a previous patent, mostly because WW1 was starting up and they didn't want to pay a German company nothing! After the war, 1920s, the court decided the U.S. was wrong, and awarded DWM the $300,000, plus penalties and late fees total $412,520. Really only of interest to hardcore nerds. But... A Lot of the debt the U.S. has is owned by China, the CCP to be exact, and while they are Joe's* primary Employer, apparently, the CCP is also loudly planning to start a "short victorious war to stem the tide of revolution." So, theoretically, we could cancel the CCP's investment in American debt, if they went to war, and if the survivors on the mainland Middle Kingdom aren't the CCP, then screw them, it's not a semi-immortal private company. ( DWM is no longer a major arms company, after the war they switched to trains & buses, and have been merged and name changed a couple times since, so... only Semi-immortal ) I don't know how we plan to cancel the CCPs's investment in the Biden* Crime Family.
