This weekend on "Top Dead Center," a motorcycle show on Spike TV, they profiled 2 stunt riders who use Buells. One of them pulled a new world record for a nosey/stoppie by rolling 840 FEET on his front wheel only, riding an XB12R. He went something like 750 feet on a 2003 XB9R. They also showed them pulling crazy wheelies, burn outs etc. on Buells. Those guys were insane. The stoppie 12R was modified. They put in lead weights under the front fairing and removed the rear brakes, foot pegs and rear seat. It was pretty cool, the guy was pulling a nosey at over 130mph; they used a radar gun to confirm his speed. |

A few weeks ago they had a review of the 12R on Top Dead Center (or some other motorcycle program?). I quick hit record and taped it. If anyone is interested I can make a Quicktime of it and upload it....but it will be pretty large. They basically just went over the basics and had a short review of how it rode. Some nice action shots but nothing special. It's good to see positive coverage like that. |
