More, I'll bet open source software you can download will work better at writing coherent articles, than customized software that companies like the Washington Post will use, that are programmed by their "style sheets" and editorial policy. After all, a learning program you task with looking at, say, NASCAR race coverage and forums, and synthesize an article on the season and expectations for the championship, will produce an "average" editorial that may be pleasing and informative to fans. But the same article filtered by the customized biased AI may be insulting and utterly useless, as it rates teams by Woke spending on advertising and thus rate the Bud Light sponsored team over one with PPG on the car. Nevermind drivers, engineers, managers, it will be political because the programed bias will be. The Washington Post will want it's stories to sell well to their subscribers and reflect their monolithic prejudices. Gotta sound like a Post article! As to the "journalists" ... Flipping burgers won't be the option it was in my youth. Robots will do that, cheaper. And I really doubt many Journo school grads have mechanical thinking aptitude and learn to repair the robots. It won't be long before everyone at MSNBC, is "talent" and the fluffers, makeup artists, and staff to keep them happy, with only 6 humans, in 3 shifts, one guy inputting article subjects and linking to other sources for AI written stories, and one guy using AI to proofread, poll, analyze, and select stories for the talking heads to read "on air". That will drive the trend to replace the "talent" like Morning Joe, with NPCs that don't need makeup, coffee, or ego stroking.
