NCCR has a new Project to bring 3 EBR race bikes back to America. To be donated to Barber museum, at the MotoAmerica event this year. https://youtu.be/RGE2lZZEhNw Happy new year everyone! Make plans to attend? Maybe move Homecoming this year, to Barber? (Message edited by Redridergr on December 31, 2022) |

Since Homecoming ( East Troy) has been waning it might be a worthwhile trip. I don't know if one could still call it a "Homecoming". It's more of a trip to visit "retired" relations in their new luxury home. Even so, the opportunity of a lap, (even a controlled one), around Barber on a Buell/EBR would make it a pretty tempting possibility. |

I'm in the process of talking myself into going. If Buell enthusiasts are willing to travel to another hemisphere for this event its probably worth the 1000 mile trip. |

In addition to the fact that we've always wanted to visit the Barber Museum, this NCCR project may be the last opportunity to bring together some of the key personnel involved with Buell/EBR East Troy. Nothing is confirmed yet, but we are very hopeful that this will take place at Barber. We last visited the USA in July 2008 for the Buell 25th Anniversary in East Troy. |

Tutte, that’s great news, we look forwards to meeting up in May. Court, attending the Buell 25th Anniversary in July 2008 was a great experience. So many good memories, the open day at the Buell plant on the 3rd July, shared with lots of Buell riders and international enthusiasts, the track days at Blackhawk Farms Raceway and Road America, plus brilliant summer weather. You also launched your ‘25 Years of Buell’ book at the Buell open day and kindly signed it, along with Dave Gess and Erik Buell. There’s a 970-word report of our visit to East Troy and 136 images here: https://www.ukbuellgroup.co.uk/446199920/447497517

Announced yesterday by the organisers, NCCR Sweden, the Buell/EBR event at Barber on Saturday 20th May has been postponed. We don't know when the event will take place or if we can rearrange our flights for later in the year. We will contact our travel agent after the Easter holiday and post an update here in due course.

I'm going to opt for attending the rescheduled ceremony whenever it may be. Anyone interested in the 3 day May race event ticket I purchased online? I paid $90 plus whatever *convenience* charge. PM me if interested. |

Latest news. Please buellers, let us support this project. From the email I just received; Good Morning from Sweden, We'd like thank you again for supporting our idea of holding up and preserving the Buell history and tell the Erik Buell Racing story. Our work, the booklet and the idea of getting bikes to the Barber museum is more actual than ever. However, we again need to adjust the raffle as the sales turn out - we cannot sugarcoat it - far below our expectations. We started with the goal of selling 1500 slots, donate 3 bikes with the help of the community and raffle out one 1190 RS plus 99 other prices. After realizing that the support of the community was not as expected, we decided to split the raffle into 2x 500 each to give the participants a 3 times better chance to win the bike, but this didn't result in a significant push. With all over 150 slots sold, we are a bit astonished that a so wide community can show so little interest in the brand history. Specifically some of the "big in Buell" countries stick out by a nearly complete lack of support. We hear that it's the result of a difficult economic situation there, we don't know. The sales per country are explained in the video and visualized on the website. We will launch a new YouTube video today, announcing a final adjustment to realize the project on the smallest scale, which is a goal of 300 sold slots until February 29th 2024 to raffle out the bike and a goal of total 500 to donate at least Mark's IOMTT bike to Barber. If 500 slots are sold, we will add an additional 1190 RS engine to the price pot You can find the video here: https://www.youtube.com/@NCCRSweden We intensify now the sales of the other Splitlath and WSBK race bikes, we intend keeping 2 for our collection. One of the 2 Canepa WSBK found a good new home in Australia and we hope to sell the other until the end of the year to enthusiasts and maybe that offers also options to have one of these bikes later on display at Barber. We appreciate your support for the idea and the brand history, please help to spread the word. And if you have some additional ideas we are happy to hear from you. With kind regards, Julia Krüper |
