I have a 2009 XB12X, about 42K miles. It's been 10k miles since I replaced the plugs. I stopped at my local HD dealer in Morgan Hill, CA yesterday, they did not have HD 10R12X in stock. He gave me a list of dealers that show stock and and I'll hit one of those this w/e. But, is anyone using another brand/equivalent that may be more readily available? |

If you google long enough (and sadly, I have...) you will probably come to the same conclusion: the most popular alternative is part # DCPR9EIX - NKG Iridiums. In fact I dare say these are probably the most popular plug today for these bikes; it seems most people have moved away from the Harley specific part in favor of a widely available and quality alternative? Personally, I am in the camp that brand actually matters here so I would not recommend anything other than NKG, other brands make the same spec plug but I buy NKG over Bosch or others. But, to each their own. |

Yep, I ran the NKGs. Worked great in my 2009 XB12XT. |

I think I have about 45k on the set of NGK iridium I put in 2013 for the beginning of the riding season. I have been thinking of replacing them just to keep up on preventative maintenance. |

I agree with Heavy18. I run that exact plug in my 2008 XB12XT. They work great! No issues. |

I still run the HD plugs. I keep a pair in the cabinet (for each bike - XB, tuber, 1125) in case I get a drivability issue, just in case parts are hard to get at that moment. They're plugs - it's not like an extra pair breaks the bank. |
