Drop me a line if you've got one to move along. |

Thats another over priced worthless accessory IMO. Its not going to prevent a topend refresh or rebuild. |

Again, while I appreciate your feedback, my motivations are different than others. Thank you. |

Oh Victory, Here in Nevada's hot summers, I would not ride without an oil cooler. Riding in 100F heat cooks the oil to premature failure without one. If an oil cooler was a worthless accessory, then they would not be standard equipment on XBs. |

For low horse power Harleys the cooler was always a feel good thing. Then they got pressured to start installing them at the factory. Same thing happened at Buell. Ive never liked the cost and extra maintenance and risk of them on the Harley considering the top end will need refreshed soon anyway. Then theres the fact that the old style pump doesnt flow that much. Just my feeling about it. Yeah in extreme heat you need everything you can get and maybe a water cooled motor is best! I used an aluminum power steering cooler for a car and it dropped the oil temp in the tank by about 18 degrees on the same ride route on the same day in the same air temperature.

4speeder... thanks for the info! There are many great ways to solve the same problem. I like your solution. Just 4 months ago I had a chance to buy 4 of the Jagg kits for $100CDN each... the person went on a holiday and communication broke down, they got sold to someone else. Oh well. I like your solution!! I do agree the Jagg kits are too pricey for what you get, but if there are no other options, then once gets "stuck". Your solution works. Cheers!!! |

A more appealing solution for sure. Some perspective. A big Twin M8 is getting close to 350 degrees on the Las Vegas Strip. Thats leg cook temp. While a Chieftain is not getting that hot and around 100 degrees less. The M8 is a dead motor running in that case. |

No longer in need. I found 3 complete unopened kits for $100 CAD each. Thanks for everyone's input. |

Congratulations on finding what you need, and at a terrific price! Post up a picture of the completed bike in the Old School Tuber section when you're done! |

I will for sure post up some pics once the bike is back together. As for selling one of the kits, they had 4, by the time I got to them, there were only 3 left. I bought all three as I have 3 X1's in need of this kit. So, unfortunately i do not have any extras. I will say I do like what 4speeder had posted above. Had I not found any Jagg kits, I was going to do exactly what 4speeder had done. |
