Robert, Even if you find some the rubber stalks will be too brittle to use (other than to show off the bike in some pictures) and will definitely crack under use. I have a collection of good and bad ones, including two NOS in plastic bags and two Triumph ones (slightly longer stalks) in bags and would not put them on the bikes, they'll just break. So I keep them on the shelf for my two S2 & S2T and have replaced them with XB signals (Y0526.K and Y0527.K) which I think are the best looking alternatives.

Hi 89rs1200 and Tigerman, I'm working on a process to remold the original S2 stalks but I need the threaded inserts with the hex. Ones done so far look pretty good from 5-10 ft. Would be happy to work a deal to get your broken stalks and make some new ones if you'd like. Thanks, Rick RTLLL@yahoo.com |

Rick, That is an old picture....I sent you my spare / broken stalks back in 2021, all I have are the good ones now. But yes, always interested in getting some redone - hope your plan works out |

Wow! Just received over 500 email from posts for the last several months. Andrew, Would you consider selling a Left Front OEM. Yes I would like a complete set for pictures. XB turn signals for every day. |

Can't remember what I have for good ones - let me check and make sure I have at least 8 (got 2 bikes) and get back to you if I can spare one. BTW, I just got two re-made stalks from Rick and they look perfect OEM....if he starts making these for us we'll be able to fix all those broken ones. Don't throw anything away |

Thanks to Tigermann for his generous comment about the remolded S2 turn signal stalks I've been mentioning I'm working on !! Thought it was time to "walk the talk" and include some pictures of the examples Tigermann received. (2) on left are remolded, (1) on right is NOS new. Still some work to do but they're pretty good 5 to 10 footers. Working on getting rid of air pockets and keeping mounting insert axis perpendicular to the stalk base. Tested out for approx. 50 miles on my S2 and they held up fine. All I need is the Hex insert and we can try and make more like what's in the pictures or better. Thinking $15 each for a "prototype" quality level stalk shipped back to you. Don't need to send the whole signal just the insert or broken stalk with the insert. Happy to buy any inserts or broken S2 signals you have if you don't want replacements. Feel free to email me at RTLLL@yahoo.com with any questions or comments. Thanks, Rick

Rick, maybe you need to also post this info under the "S2 Thunderbolt" forum as some owners may not find it here in the classifieds? |

I'm really excited about this. I'm kind of in a "restoration mode" and would love to do my S2. Gibson Guitar, in Memphis, just finished my original 1965 Gibson and I keep looking at what may be one of the most significant Buells . . . the first Buell in most of the significant locations in America . . . that has been ridden in 44 states . . .just sitting there with that awesome motor looking sad. The turn signals would be awesome . . . I am cheering for this to work. |
